Exam structure includes Mid term End term Jury/written So mid term and end term is of 30 marks and jury is of total 40 marks so total out of 100. We get SGPA for each semester. Quite interesting and relevant subjects are taught

NIFT

I like my course structure , the quality of time and the mentoring sessions help me alot
Mainly i like how they teach us how to be presentable infront of all and my communication skills got better

Over-all I like my faculties but we also have a special form that we need to fill in every semester about the review of each faculty and h3/she won't be have the access to this from we can complain or appreciate the faculty members, In my perspective most all teachers at nift are well qualified and has great knowledge I know for some students is hard to ask doubts byt your factory gave us the equal opportunities to ask the doubts also behave the self-study session where facility are actively participate and help students

Our college has a faculty group that is quite diverse in terms of experience and fields as well. This gives us a very overall and around the design world sort of experience when studying under them and helps us in all the little ways

The facutly student relationship is very good if you mantain it they are very open to help and as per my course it is very well planed and taught , and if you really pay attention in class you wouldnt really fail if u submit all the assignments on time and also we dont have a lot of written exams so it is representing the work that we are told to do.

NIFT IS NOT ALL ABOUT GLAMOUR BUT HARDWORK

The faculty is approachable to all the students of different departs and give constrive feedbacks. The teaching methods of faculty are modern they use smart boards, educational trips to different museums is also very helpful.

Sometimes the faculties restrain us going out of the bow which might be right according to them because we need to clear our basics first but been in a design school a student want to explore more.

The relationship between faculty to students is great, they are understanding, approachable during college hours and after that we can text/email. Some of the faculties take alot of pain to teach us and give us constructive criticism/advice. Some of them wait after college hours to review our work as well. For the exams- we have mid term(30 marks), End term(30 marks) and finally jury(40 marks). In mid term and end term we need to submit our work to the faculties but in Jury we present our work to the jurors(3-4) in which among one will the exterior juror. The exams are pretty easy to clear of a student as been adhere to the brief given by faculties. We have a very strict attendance system, we need to maintain 75% attendance in all the subjects of someone not able to maintain the attendance that are marked under Follow Up and given the jury afterwards. There is a system of carryforward as well where if the student attendance either in the case of attendance or not able to perform well in exams. 2-3% fails to clear the exams.

the faculty is very professional in the classroom , there is a batch of 45 students and one teacher. some teachers are readily accessible but some are a bit biased. vishal gupta sir is the best. there is no such faculty i didn't like. there 2 internal exams of each 30 marks, one mid term and end term assignment followed by end sem exam called jury which is of 40 marks. you need a minimum of 50% marks to pass the semester.

Be creative and try to express as much as you can

Faculties are suppotive in every sense, and there are juries like all design colleges instead of written exams , you have to show them the work you've learn during the semesters, not very difficult if you can manage your time

The college rant

The faculty in my department is very experienced and knowledgeable and most of them have been in the industry before joining the college so they help in guiding the students

The thing with faculty members is that it's a hit or a miss. Fortunately this year my faculties are all great. They are helpful and you can easily approach them whenever you have any doubts. So there are no written exams at my college and you are marked on the basis of your mid term, end term as well as the jury assignment held at the end of the semester. Things were not as good last year as some of my faculties were not as nice and they had a lot of ego and got too defensive when someone tried to question them. Some fo them were just not at par and were not providing me with the quality of education that i was paying so much for. Als another thing that happened was that they'd approve of an idea initially and then go against it on the final day of jury when you'd present it to the members. Another thing was that every faculty has a different design philosophy which might not align with another person's. This and the feuds betwenn the faculty and the jury member can cause a dent in yo

WORLD OF NIFT GANDHINAGAR

The faculty is brilliant ranging from all senior faculty who themselves are a graduate from NIFT to guest faculty which teach extra side subjects for personal development. Teachers are very open minded to the ideas and thus they’re friendly too.
Students are given tasks within classes so that they get to explore. Teachers appreciate it more when students present their ideas from their surroundings and focus more that they become a close observant.

The faculty tries to bring their industry experience and expertise together into the classroom. Students get a hands on experience by learning real techniques from artisans themselves as NIFT focuses alot more on promoting local artisans and crafts. Faculty appreciates those ideas more which are taken from our surroundings or nature as they want us to become a close observant. They dont really care about what the final product is rather they are more interested into the thoughts or brainstorming that has been done behind the product. They are not at all into perfectionism instead how much we explored, did we step out of the campus and interviewed people is what they all care about. Nift is a place for all open minded people and that makes our faculty very friendly. We are given full freedom to think into various aspects. Faculty provides us with their industry connections for our placement and internship opportunities too. Our campus was first in placements last year (9,00,000/-).

All the faculty members are good. Some of them very are very good in teaching. As a everyone know nift is a government institution so all the faculty are give his best. We also get mentally support from our faculty.
