Likes

The labs and exposure of bachelor studnets is great.
They have good alumini history and good relations.

Dislikes

Academic pressure for no reason making studnets mentally exhausted
Faculty are pretty unfair, and a lot of favoutism takes place
Bad infrasturucture and sudents are not culuraly accepting.

Admission:

I chose NIFT because of the brand name,as being the top 2nd institute in the country for fashion studies and the course details they provided on their brochure. I got admission in MIT,Pune but I chose NIFT over MIT,Pune because of the brand name. The admission starts with a written test,then a Group discussion and finally an Interview.Then based on this you have been given a rank and then counselling with 5 rounds first prefernece being Delhi,Mumbai and Bangalore.

My Experience with the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi campus.

I liked the overall experience as a Bachelor of Design student at NIFT Delhi, in terms of the faculty work ethics, college environment, and its infrastructure.d
NIFT Delhi offers its students a comprehensive personality development opportunity by organising multiple events.
NIFT Delhi Fashion Communication Faculty took us to multiple trips during the course period, which added some extraordinary memories into our college lifes.

Dislikes

I think the fee structure should be much more lesser considering that the NIFT college is government funded entity.
I didn't liked the the 90:10 Girl/Boy ratio.

Admission:

I had only applied for the National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance test and got a good rank, hence moved ahead with it. The admission process at my college required me to pass a two-level entrance test, where the first one was theory and the second one was practical. After which, results are announced and then one needs to attend the counseling session at the nearby center of NIFT choose the available course and center, and submit the required fees and other details. Once you are assigned the desired course and center, you can visit the respective center at the mentioned date and time to fulfill the other documents related submissions.

My life at nift

Likes

You could be very creative in here and u can think anything
So much freedom of a fashion colllege and yeah
Feels like Karan Johar movie in here I don’t know

Dislikes

Boys are very less in this college so no company
So much drama over little things and at everything
The faculty are very strict they don’t put any marks for you

Admission:

I mean I didn't get anything else so I took this and my sister also had done this course so I know a little basics to the course . The admission test pretty simple I didn't even study for this course so I don't panic

I love my college

Likes

The boys is to girls ratio here 1:10. My college has the best and coolest faculty they are so understanding supportive and friendly it never feels hesitation to ask anyone out for need.
The College environment inside out is very calming. The seniors and batchmates all are always ready to help and there is no ragging at all in NIFT Mumbai. We enjoy a lot of events conducted by every clubs and on many festivals.
The infrastructure of college is very good you'll never feel bored here also Mumbai's weather enhances the surrounding here . We are exposed to many workshop intership competition exhibition which we help us to build innovative ideas and designs .

Dislikes

I don't like the college stationary as they already know design student need a lot of material very frequent and still being college's own stationary they provide material at cheap rates.
Overall I don't like the college fee structure it should be little less
Talkin' bout hostel I don't like the mess food also their rule that parents need to pay to stay here in hostel when the ward has already paid so much amount .

Admission:

I did appear for NID and IIT but my rank was not enough to get a seat as general seats are very less there for NID it's 100 and IIT it's 80 only. I also gave FDDI and secured fabulous rank but I chose NIFT because this tag of being a NIFT student is very respected and usefull as the industry and companies know that this is the premium fashion college that make their students elite and professional towards work and career. The admission process is you fill the form which is released in oct-nov month and then there are 2 rounds first is aptitude and drawing both included and is you clear this then you sir for second that Is 3d model making and creative writing.

NIFT : An opportunity

Likes

The classes here are ever happening and fun loving. The professors guide you through every way and are there for you whenever you need them.
The campus is maintained very properly. All the ground staff, teaching and non teaching staff are very helpful.
The labs are very neat and clean. The course curriculum covers every aspect of the subject.

Admission:

For the admission first they take GAT and CAT which is the general ability test and creative ability test. After this if you are selected from this round than you have the other round which is the Situation Test/ Studio Test here you are given with different materials and using that you have to make a 3D model according to the given theme options and in the given time. After this round you get the final result but if you are a lateral entrant you will have to give an interview after the studio test for the final result. You have the counselling round at the last where you have to select the campus according to you CMR.

Admission:

In the B.Ftech course, you need to have PCM in 10+2. The application form and dates come around December every year and the exam happens around February every year the results are out around June and then the counseling happens.

The campus life at NIFT is amazing. You get to learn from your faculties and seniors and grab on amazing opportunities.
The events and festivities of various cultures unites us all and is marvellous.

Dislikes

The placement opportunities can be better.

Admission:

To take admission into B.FTech, a student must have had PCM in their 10+2. The application form, fees, and dates come every year around December and the window is opened for around a month. The exam most probably take place in the month of February and the final results come out in the month of June.

LIFE AS AN NIFTIAN

Admission:

For bachelor programs, the candidate's maximum age should be less than 24 years as of the 1st of August of the year of Admission. For design courses like Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, and Fashion Communication, a candidate must have cleared the +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized school/board/university in India or foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. For the Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (B.F.Tech.) course, a candidate must have a passing grade +2 examination with physics and mathematics as their subjects.

Admission:

The college is awesome. The campus is in a very big place. It holds the 2nd rank in India. The college came under the ministry of the textile government. One of the best government institutes is NIFT Mumbai. For taking admission hare firstly you have to pass your 12th board examination then you have to fill entrance exam form in the month of December. If you are science stream student then you can take Bachelor in Fashion Technology course otherwise you are not able to take this course. If you want to do some creativity in design or fashion communication or leather design, shoe design, accessories design then you can choose the designing part. Your admit card will come in the month of January and in February your examination will take place. Now if you hold a good rank then you can take admission here. This college holds 2nd rank in India and one of the best colleges for design and technology. If you are eligible then after your first year you can go abroad for your studies and this chance is given.

NIFT Bhubaneswar, review based on the Pandemic era.

Admission:

I have always been into fashion so I decided to opt for some course that educated me about fashion. I went for NIFT entrance exam and I opted for the BFTech course, I.e. Bachelor of Fashion Technology. I could've gone for BFD that is Bachelor of Fashion Designing but it was too mainstream and I wanted to learn more than that. The college is amazing! Such amazing laboratories, such amazing machines, the teachers are fully knowledgeable about their subjects and are understanding. The admission process wasn't too hefty. It all happened online (because of Covid) but if the situation were different, the counselling would've happened offline in the college centers. NIFT official website will let you know all about all the courses provided in there.
