The department lacks its own placement cell, unlike other departments. Students participate in unpaid internships as part of their fieldwork, collaborating with social and welfare agencies like Nirmal Chaya for Girls NGO, Delhi Commission of Women Cell, and Prayas Children's NGO. These internships occur twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and involve submitting weekly reports evaluated at semester's end. Throughout their degree, students complete three year-long internships without stipends, gaining practical community work experience under agency supervision.
The college offers various scholarships, especially for SC/ST/OBC students, and fee concessions for minorities. The annual course fee is between Rs. 11,000 and Rs. 18,000, with an extra exam fee of about Rs. 750 per semester. The total program cost ranges from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000 over three years, with no major fee increases. Scholarships, such as the Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC, are accessible through the NSP portal.
Although not every student receives a scholarship, many benefit from financial aid and stipends for exemplary social work performance. Fees cover facilities including internet, sports, and library access.
