A journey through IISER Tirupati

Likes

I liked the research environment which is provided by IISER
The opportunity to do master thesis outside institute in foreign universities as well.

Dislikes

I disliked the time it took to shift in two different campuses , as it was in transit campus when i joined.
Institute sometimes showed inability to take positive criticism by some student on social media platform

Fees and Financial Aid:

In IISER Tirupati there was a semester fee of rs . 42000 per semester for general / EWS/ OBC students , ( including all other funds like gymkhaana, hostel , electricity and water bill ) apart from that there was a caution deposit of rs 4000 at the beginning of the BSMS dual degree program , there are some scholarship options available like INSPIRE felliwship or KVPY .

Insights and Reviews of College life

Likes

Campus: it's a great place. A newly constructed college. A hill view from balcony or window will make your morning and evening worthy. Hostels, academic, admin building, lecture complex, library construction completed.
Academic: We don't have the burden of studying a lot. It's totally free here. U can read extra stuff. Rather than a syllabus and even discuss them with the senior or the prof. It all depends on its interest. The staffs are awesome here.

Dislikes

The time boundaries is one of the thing I don't like. As we all are college students and we are not child anymore but after all this there are restrictions on us. You can't outside of the campus after 6 PM. We have to return to room before 12:30AM
Funds are low for our students activities. So it makes us irritated sometimes.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees structure is different for general and sc, at. You may refer to official website also. Yes the tution fees is increased from past few years. Right now the fees is around 1 Lakh per year. As a government college, it's a bit expensive. For food, the pay and eat system is there. So no need to worry. But no need to worry as there are scholarships also for example NSP, INSPIRE, your State scholarship, Reliance scholarship etc.

Likes

Teaching methodology focusing more on research
Sports facilities and other extra curricular facilities

Dislikes

Located for away from the city quite difficult to access
Construction work still going on will take time to complete

Fees and Financial Aid:

The cost of education for per semester is 50000 we have scholarships like NSP DST inspire etc students can Undertaker internship while their course and on stipend hostel fees are included in overall fee and tuition fees also included

Likes

Well-being, hostel facility, open minded people
Faculty, schedules, festival, clubs and its activities

Dislikes

Climate, far away from home, missing home food
No retail store available neighbourhoods

Fees and Financial Aid:

Multiple scholarships are available for students at higher Thirupathy, namely KVP Y,Kishore Vaidik Roshan Yojana, inspire scholarship for the department of science and technology and multiple other scholarships offered by various state governments and central government of India and also a few private corporation such as reliance and Tata and D, the fee structure of Pfizer Thirupati contains the lodging charges, the tuition fee and the library, gymnasium charges, et cetera The miss charges need to be paid separately on a payee basis by students throughout the solicitor annual Tution lodging library fees, et cetera, roughly to 55,000 per semester. While the charges at the mess depend on personal preference. It roughly sums up to 180 ? day on an average , and can go up or down based on personal preference

Research facilities and labs, with well equipped instruments
Hostel and cleanliness, newly constructed and well maintained

Dislikes

Mess food can be improved, sometimes its good even
Located far away from the main city, traveling to city takes time

The course fee is 50000 per semester for unreserved categories and 6000 for reserved categories. The tution fees is completely waived off for reserved categories. There is all government aided scholarships applicable here like NSP, DST inspire etc You can under take internships in labs of professors to earns

Non biased review about iiser tirupati

Likes

Provides good exposure. There are a lot of seminars held
Clen and well maintained campus which is indeed beautiful

Dislikes

There is mandatory 80 percent attendance and i personaly do not like it
You can not go outside campus after evening 6 pm .

Fees and Financial Aid:

There is no such thing as tution fee hike in our institute. In one semester it could be less than very next semester or more. You can apply to NSP for scholarship and various privte institutions. Like reliance scholarship provies 40_50k per annum . From nsp you can get 40_ 80 k per annum Iiser produces phd students . Most people opt PhD after completing their BSMS degree

The way they teach is good like they do even take tutorial class for the people with background of MPC/BiPC
Campus Life is good not too boring or something like that but we can enjoy😁

May be I say mess food. Due to the present contract but they do change ig

Fees and Financial Aid:

It's less for the ST/SC candidates and for the OC/BC candidates not too high maybe around 35-37 thousand per sem including hostel and tuition fees. The mess depends on the caterer. I don't know much about the scholarship but their DAAD scholarship which provides enough amount to pay. We don't have any jobs provided by the college l. It depends on the career you choose and move.
