Ques: Can I opt-out of the Dual degree program after completing my UG degree?

Ans: As of now, candidates must complete the five-year program and there is no option to leave the course after completion of the UG degree.

Ques: Is there any internship or placement opportunities at this institute?

Ans: Placements are controlled by the Academic Affairs Office. Dates for application of internships are regularly posted and updated on the institute website. Ph.D. students with a valid GATE/ NET score receive a fellowship for working as TAs. Students can apply online for summer/ Winter Internships.Since the college was established in 2016, the first batch of BS-MS students is set to pass out in the year of 2021, so as of now there is no data regarding the placement scenario at the institute.

Ques: How do I apply for an internship?

Ans: Visit the college website and under the "Academics" tab you will find an option called "Internships". Under this, the staffs regularly update internship positions available. You can also get the form and submit it to the office. Once done, the merit list will be released in the same place a few days later. Both internal and external (students from other colleges) can apply.

Ques: Does the institute provide any special courses for students?

Ans: The Institute Open Online Course committee implements open online courses, as per the principle of Swayam and MOOC of MHRD, in the Institute and will be accountable to the Senate of the Institute. It is headed by Prof. S N Mishra, Professor.

Ans: The College has a Science magazine known as Episteme. Past publications are present on the institute website.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 5 years Full-time Bachelor of Science [BS] + Master of Science [MS] (Biological Sciences program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Candidate should have passed (10+2) level with science stream during the current or previous year with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards

Entrance Exam:

Candidates must qualify one of the following entrance tests - JEE Main/ JEE Advance.

Reservation:

For the candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer of the Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) and Persons with Disability (PD) categories, there is a 5% relaxation. The cut-off percentage for the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) candidates is 55% in (10+2) level for all boards. Students applying through the SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centers across the country. A Comprehensive Guide to the IISERBPR Campus

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year-wise fees are Rs 108400 (two semesters), the tution fee being Rs 36700, registration being Rs 1500, examination fees being 2000, cultural activity fees being 1500, library usage fees being 1500, lab and computer fees being 2000, amenities fees being 2000, gym and sports fees being 2000, hostel rent being 3000 and electricity, water and maintenance fees being 2000. The entire program is a five year BS-MS course with ten semesters, the first one costing Rs 61200 and all the successive ones costing Rs 54200. As of now, the course fees are consistent with time.

My Experience at IISER Behrampur

Fee Structure And Facilities:

A fees of Rs. 3.92 Lakh is charged for the five year integrated course. College accepts online payment; No additional fees is needed to secure a registration; after the list of selected students come out, one has to pay a confirmation fee and then a registration fee at the day of admission.
