IISER Berhampur Scholarship 2025: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

The BS-MS Dual Degree Programme at IISERs offers two main scholarships: the KVPY fellowship and the INSPIRE fellowship. A Comprehensive Guide to the IISERBPR Campus

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year-wise fees are Rs 108400 (two semesters), the tution fee being Rs 36700, registration being Rs 1500, examination fees being 2000, cultural activity fees being 1500, library usage fees being 1500, lab and computer fees being 2000, amenities fees being 2000, gym and sports fees being 2000, hostel rent being 3000 and electricity, water and maintenance fees being 2000. The entire program is a five year BS-MS course with ten semesters, the first one costing Rs 61200 and all the successive ones costing Rs 54200. As of now, the course fees are consistent with time.

IISER Berhampur, A Budding Institute With Immense Potential

When my seat was confirmed, we had to pay a seat acceptsnce fee of 39,000 INR which was adjusted with the fees of the the first semester, A total of 69,000 INR was the entire fee for the first semester including the admission fee. However, for the rest of the tenure i.e 9 semesters, we pay 54,200 INR for each semester. The fee can be broken down as follows- 39200 for tuition fee. 1500 for semester registration, 2000 for examination and grade card, 1500 for cultural activities, 1500 for library, 2000 for lab and computer facilities, 2000 for gym and sports, 3000 for hostel charges, 2000 for electricity, water and maintenance. However the tuition fees are waived for SC/ST/PwD students. So they pay around 17200 INR each semester. For now, there are no scholarships for the students.

Brief inforamtion (IISER BERHAMPUR)

Tution fee is Rs. 33,400. I personally feel like they should reduce it. There are many scholarships/fellowships for which students can apply according to their eligibility. Most of the students (80-85%) pursuing BS MS dual degree opt for further studies (PhD) after the completion of their course.

our fee striycture comprises hostel mess fee cultural fee and the academics fee as well. The overall amount of the course is 17500 per semester for SC qouta and for general the amount is 35000 per semester.

Is IISER Berhampur a good choice?

Fees is much lower compared to other government institutes. Overall hostel and mess cost is also very affordable. Cost to study would he around 7-8lakhs for 5years without any category benefits. Internship opportunities are regularly brought to student's attention through email.
