RECM - Underrated but a great future ahead.

Likes

Nice infrastructure, labs with latest instruments, classrooms equipped with digital boards . This college is not same as other outdated government colleges.
Great Social life, Majority of students are from UP, no dress code as such. Crowd is amazing here.
Great faculty, young passionate professors holding Mtech's from reputed colleges like IIT's , IISc and BITS. Few of them have cleared UPSC Engineering Services and UPPSC AE as well which help us to gain knowledge from their experiences.

Dislikes

Remote location, distant from city's hustle bustle. Few direct trains and buses available. Complex travel experience.
Weak Alumni Base. Its a newly estd. college in year 2015 even though ex students of this college are doing great but still not a great alumni network.
Some mass recruiters avoid visiting campus due to its off location. However placement cell coordinates with other colleges and make sure off campus opportunities are available forthe students in these companies.

Admission:

I had two options VIT Chennai (Metallurgy) and RECM (Civil). Both the colleges were relatively new. VITC high fees and other expenses made me chose RECM. Moreover I had an inclination towards Civil. Admission are on basis of JEE Mains Score. Under rank of 75-80k one can easily land in this college. No GD or PI's are conducted for admission. I messed up my JEE Mains and BITS entrance so had no chance for NIT's and BITS. At our times admission were on basis of UPSEE ranks. My rank was 4923 so only available option was RECM and RECK in govt colleges. Chose RECM because RECK didn't offer civil engg.

Likes

Faculty is quite supportive in studies and in projects.
Infrastructure of this college is quite better than other REC college present in UP.
College reading room facilities is quite different and good .

Dislikes

Less number of events are held in college campus.
Mess food and its quality decreasing day by day.
Low maintenance of sports grounds and its equipments.

Admission:

For taking admission you have to take an examination named JEE Mains according to your rank you have to do an AKTU counseling process from thier you select this college and according to your tour branch is allotted. I think the site of aktu is quite slow and its needs some improvement in because of this students are facing many problems every year.

Likes

I like faculty all teachers are very supportive
I like the scholarship scheme provided at college

Dislikes

I don't like sports facilities available at college
Mess food is not good and medical facility also not available
College administration is not much supportive

When I admitted in this college at that time uptu conduct the exam and uppse conduct the counseling but now admission are done on the basis of jee mains score you should have a valid Jee mains score card with 70-80 percentile depending on category you belong it may be less also if you belongs to sc St or other category I am talking about general category Document required Class 10 th marksheet 12 th marksheet Category certificate if applicable Valid jee main score card Gap certificate if applicable

24/7 Availablity of labs and helping nature of faculty.
Good food availablity In mess and best time to serve that
Proper regular quizzes happened in class.

Dislikes

Canteen I saw in previous time and also less availablity of items
Common room is not available always for every student
there is always politics between faculties which will some time cause the students

Admission:

Student's can get admission in this college by aktu counseling process. First when the counseling start students will fill their details, name, previous marksheet, and jee mains rank and roll no. When students fill the form after some choice filling portal will open, students will fill the choice filling form accordingly. After some time they can get the details of which college they took and in which branch. After that they have option to freeze the available option or flote for another college which they want but you need to fill fee 20000 which will be considered in those academic fee when they go for physical reporting time. They will submit all the required documents in physical form also they will submit the hostel and academic fee which required Eligibility required 12th pass and jee mains rank. They will find app form, fees and dates in aktu portals and in youtubers who make videos to inform. There is no reservation for general and OBC but available for sc/St.

Know about RECM

Likes

Here we'll get freedom to live and use the facility.
College is peaceful and faculty support students to do their best.
Our college is also called sister college to IIT Kanpur.

Dislikes

We have to travel more than 10 Kms for marketing.
Transport facility is not good everytime.
There is dispensary in college but for serious health issues you have to go hospital which is 7-8kms away.

Admission:

Admission process is done through UPTAC councelling by considering JEE mains cutoff percentile. So, the one who wants to take addmission here must cleared the JEE Mains exam first then UPTAC councelling. One can find the application form and regarding update including dates and events related to the addmission on Abdul Kalam Technical University's official website. People can also avail reservation according to their allotted category. Reservation benefits includes cutoff relaxation, more scholarship than general (no fees relaxation, but can ask for installments). Overall Addmission process is easy.

Real and honest college review

Likes

There is no over restrictions, we can go anywhere.
The hostels are very neat and clean and hygienic.
The assistants guards and mess members are very supportive.

Dislikes

No student vehicles are allowed inside the campus.
The students doing good are never appreciated.
The faculties are jealous of each other, corrupt and non - supportive.

Admission:

The candidate must be 12th qualified and should have the required JEE Mains score and can apply for counseling using it. There is also a spot counseling round for physical admission and reporting that requires a JEE Mains score to be applicable for the vacant seat.

Some facts about my college

Likes

It's new college so it's infrastructure is good in many terms .
Have many facilities like labs, machine etc .
In my department, the faculties are good and supportive .

Admission:

Inter with a minimum of 65% and high school with 65%. Jee mains is conducted by NTA and students can also be admitted by Cuet exam. as with other colleges, there is also held some kind of reservation mostly for sc/St students. No everything is fine.

I absolutely loving the course and campus

Admission:

I have taken admitted in this college through jee mains exam and upcet counseling by aktu. The admission process was very smooth, all faculty was very supportive towards students. There is the option of a fee waiver which means the tuition fee is exempted.
