The faculty at Shyam Lal College is supportive and approachable, helping students with their queries and problems. The course includes unit tests and semester exams held twice a semester, and the yearly CGPA is based on these results, attendance, class performance, and extracurricular participation. The college's Training and Placement Cell organized a job fair with around 40 companies, including Deloitte, Byjus, and KPMG. The highest placement package reached 12 LPA and the highest internship stipend was 17,000 per month.
Notably, Aditya Birla Group participated in the 2023 placement drive. Students are eligible for placements after the 6th semester and internships from the 1st semester. The average placement package is Rs. 4.5 lakh, with the highest being Rs. 9 lakh in 2019.
