Paramedical field. Boon or bane?

Placements are provided after 4th year of our course. Medical assistant is provided in our college or in Maulana Azad College. We get about 50000 as our package. Almost every students are eligible for placement depending on their academic performance. Students after pursuing Bachelors of occupational therapy seeking jobs in hospital or they start their personal private clinic for handicaps.

Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya National Institute For Person

Student's become eligible from 4th year only for the campus placements. It's not the companies or the hospitals that visits for placement it's the NGO's and all that comes and provide basic salaries to students. Highest packages can go upto - 1200000 per annum or average to 400000 per annum. 70-80% students get's placements and other starts there home visits or own clinic. My plans is to work for 2 year in any hospital in india and then move to dubai for future opportunities.

College preview from my perspective

Almost all students nearly 100% who have passed in their exams got campus placements. The lowest as well as highest packages offered by companies are 15k-30k. Companies visited are ALIMCO, Ossur, Ottobock, Endolite, Collegepark etc. I want to pursue masters after getting my bachelor's degree.

Internship opportunities are available for everybody enrolled in the program. Students do internships inside the college and are placed in diffrent hospitals as well. Therefore there is 100% internships assistance available

Faculty and Curriculum is very good

There is no dearth of Internship in the college, Because,In our course after the Final year we have 6 month compulsory rotatory internship in hospitals. So, As a central government college this give us internship opportunity in various leading government hospitals sometimes private hospitals but those are also very renowned.

Life at IPH

The placements through college after BPT are limited. But after learning good practices during clinical hours in the college and internship, one can work under any other physiotherapist, and later on, can open up their own clinic. Also, to enhance their skills, one can always opt for master's in many fields like orthopedic, sports PT, etc, and earn well after that.

Experience of college life

Internships start from the third year onwards and students are sent to hospitals which include government and private hospitals like Safdarjung, RML, in college department, Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital etc. 4th year to have an internship of 2-4 months. Then there is an internship of 6 months which is paid for by the college and students have to go Monday to Saturday 9 to 5 to see patients in different hospitals.

Internships and also stipend is provided at our college with great ease. The internships are provided after the completion of the 4th year of the course. You can get upto 4000 rupees of stipend. Apart from the internship, you can get placements too.
