Faculty:

Faculties of gdmc are renowned and well educated doctors who have excelled in their respective fields. The best thing about gdmc is their faculty which is quite supportive and tries to build one on one interaction. Examination pattern is quite serious here with formative assessment ones every month and two terminal exams. Pre-proffessional exams and professional exam at the end. MBBS course is of 5.5 years with with 4.5 years of classroom and clinical approach and 1 year of internship

There is the requirement of fu improvement in the teaching methods and we are going on with the old methods of the teaching so new slides and showing of the other practicals should be necessary

Faculty members all present here are very nice and all have their degree from the reputed medical College and have their immense knowledge share with us and also are very helpful in nature the kind of knowledge the share with us through their experience is immense which is helpful or pursuing our courses also the exam scheme pattern is on a monthly basis which help us to the regular revision of the earth repeated chapters its make us study well before the final exam after they have been in the formative assessments as well as the terminals which are taken and before the final professional there has been free professional

We have adequate number of faculty members as compared to the other colleges of the state in each department. In certain departments, one or two of the faculty members aren't MBBS MD so that is felt by almost all the students Most of the faculty are helpful and approachable. The PG residents act as a very easy link between the students and faculty and most of them can be approached in the easiest way possible Mbbs is of 5.5 years where in the last year is of internship. We have our professional examination(university examination) every 12 months and 2 internal examination. Apart from that a number of internal examinations are also conducted from time to time by different departments

Government Doon Medical College

The faculty of the college is very good and approachable. The faculty is very helpful to the students. The internal exams are held in the college several times throughout the year which helps the students to prepare for the university professional exams.

Teachers are overall good and are very involved

Few teachers are very tough and give tremendous work pressure to students

Student Snaps:

Faculty members - some are good but some are difficult to get a hold off. Four teachers here have a reputation worst of all. Tremendous work pressure, long hour duty, hospital raggings, unnecessary attendance penalties are very common specially in 3 departments here. Exams occur every week thanks to one of the above teacher being main exam co-ordinator. If you think of taking leave visiting home you will be gifted with exam that week so you cannot think of going home. Every festival is followed by exam following day. This year only we have our posting and exam between diwali and Govardhan Pooja - saturday. You have to score atleast 40% individualy but 50% aggregate in theory and practical combined to considered pass Marks are usually awarded to person with good handwriting, well presented text and to the point answers. Checking is subjective. If you're female you will definitely get more marks as compared to male with same answer.

The Faculty to student ratio is appropriate making the classes and lectures interactive for the students for their better understanding and learning. The students can interact with the tutors,PGs and other faculty members whenever required after lectures and during clinical postings.

Doon Medical College & Hospital

The college is located near the bus and railway station making it easier for the students to travel. The teaching faculty is good and interactive.
It is approachable especially for students who wish to learn more.PGs and tutors can also be interacted with for the learning process..

The faculty-to-student ratio is adequate and variable in different departments. The whole batch is divided into 2 batches for demo classes for better interaction. During clinical postings, the whole batch is divided into groups of 15-30 students and further into different units for proper understanding of clinical cases. The students can interact with the faculty after their lectures or in the evening at the hospital, as per their choice.
