- located in a good surrounding, with greenery everywhere and beach 200mts away. weather is too good.
- most of festivals are celebrated. sports events are conducted yearly as part of college day. good amount of events are also conducted in locality.
- library is available, on campus ATM is available, a good canteen is available inside college building
Dislikes
- it rains heavily. the infrastructure is not suitable for rain. hostel condition during rain is miserable. hardly any room without leakage.
- some department lack staffs. so learning depends solely on you.
- case load is less compared to other district hospital. lacks MRI and lacks superspeciality doctors and procedure. hence you compromise on learning workings of those departments.

internship is good. you get lot of hand on experience. you become confident in treating and get to do many procedure under supervision. some departments are draining to work and hectic. you would get some quality time to study for NEET PG too. post graduates help you to learn better.

- So overall the college is situated in the coast of arabian sea and thus has humid hot climate . Its very close to goa about 20kms from college hence superb beaches and so many waterfalls for enjoying weekends.
- So the classrooms are good . But AC’s never work properly so it is very hot in classroom.
- Faculties are very good and supportive they teach very well and ask doubts and best compared to other government colleges as said by my friends from elsewhere. So .
Dislikes
- The hot climate was unbearable at first few months but after abt 6 months ,I got acclimatised
- The Hostel food off course is so much(worse) uneatable. Its totally not worth the charge of ₹3500 per month and its compulsory to eat hostel food if u stay
- No vegetarian food options available only few fixed pure veg hotels.

MBBS internship is of 1year where U get to work in all the departments and also have 1month periphery to the phcs of surrounding villages.
You get the Stipend of 30000 /month for 1year.
The internship teaches us how to become a perfect and respected doctor in the society.
It also teaches the values and struggle of what a DOCTOR is

- Infrastructure and the teaching faculty good connectivity beach just 500 m away

- Hot and humid climate of Karwar and staff shortage in clinical departments

After 4.5 years of mbbs college only provides internship of 1 year paying 30,000 rs research opportunities in the form of icmr and rguhs research is available in college other than that if you are interested you can do research on your own also

- Good library with a lot of books to study and peaceful environment.
- Good faculty who always teach in class which is not done in many other colleges.
Dislikes
- Shortage of water filters in college building.
Internships Opportunities:
I'm in medical college with a teaching hospital and a new hospital is being built.
We have 1-year internship after the final year in the hospitals and other wards.
The stipend for now is 30k per month.
I'm in 1st year and how to rate it.

They only give internship in our hospital and every medical student has to internship there after completion of mbbs , and they are giving a stipent of 30k per month

Placement Experience:
There is no campus selection, as this is govenrment medical college.
After finishing your course you have togo for 1 year compulsory internships in the hospital attached to this college

Placement Experience:
There are no campus placements from the college because in medical college you don't expect a campus placement. Internship of 12 months is mandatory for everyone to complete graduation. Internship is basically the clinical practice under senior doctors.

There is nothing like placements in karwar institute of medical sciences,Karwar.after successfully completing the four and half years of MBBS course ,we will have one year of internship.job opportunities are not provided.

Job opportunities are the same for mbbs students. Not very difficult. And internship yes it's compulsory for all. Will be doing intership 2021 so will know the number later on. But yeah as what is heard it is a really good experience

Yes college provides internship with stipend after we finish our mbbs course. No idea about how much we will get as stipend. As a intern we may get around 30000. No idea as we haven't worked as interns.
