Students also ask

Ques. Should I choose extra CUET subjects to increase my admission chances?

Ans. No, not always helpful. Choose only those subject which match your Class 12. If you choose an extra random subject, it does not increase the chance. Delhi University only consider valid subject combination for the course. Better to focus on scoring high in correct subjects, not on more subjects.

Ques. Can I change my college preference after CSAS form submission?

Ans. Yes, but only in the preference editing window. After that, no change allowed. So choose college and course very carefully. Many student do mistake here and lose better college. Always check the priority list before final submission, because seat allotment fully depends on this preference + CUET score.

  • Seats are given based on CUET marks + preferences filled in CSAS

6 Stay Updated Check the portal regularly for updates in each CSAS round

Note

  • Admission updates are available only on the CSAS portal
  • Always check your registered email and dashboard for updates

Students also ask

Ques. Should I fill out many college preferences in CSAS for better seat chances?

Ans. Yes, filling in many preferences is better. No limit for preference in DU CSAS, so more options give more chances. But order is very important; the top choice should be first. Seat allotment depends on CUET score + preference order, so a wrong order can give the wrong college.

Ques. Can I change my preferences after submission in the DU CSAS process, or not?

Ans. Yes, but only in a limited time window. DU give preference change window after the simulated list. After that, it gets locked and no change allowed. Many students miss this and are stuck with the wrong choice. So always check the portal daily and update fast when the window opens.

SRCASW DU Placement FAQs

Ques. Can I get admission if I take a gap year after Class 12?

Ans. Yes, a gap year is not a problem in DU admission. Many students take a gap for preparation or other reasons. The university will not reject you because of a gap. But must have valid documents and pass Class 12 from a recognised board. Admission still depends on the CUET score only, not the gap year.

Ques. Can I apply for many courses in the same college through the CUET process?

Ans. Yes, can apply for many courses in the same college. No restriction for number of courses in CSAS. But must meet subject eligibility for each course. System checks the subject combination and give seat based on the best CUET score. More options give more chance but choose carefully.

Ques. What happens if I do not accept the seat in the first allotment round?

Ans. If not accept the seat in given time, then the seat will be cancelled automatically. You may still go for the next round, but the chance will be reduced. Better to accept the seat first, then use the upgrade option. Many students lose seat because they ignore the deadline. Always check the CSAS portal daily.

Ques. Do Class 12 marks matter in admission, or is only the CUET score used?

Ans. Mostly, the CUET score matters for admission. Class 12 marks are not used for the main selection. But sometimes used in a tie-breaker case if the same CUET score happens. So still important, but not a main factor. Focus more on CUET preparation for a better college.

Ques. Is minimum marks required in the CUET language subject for the DU admission process?

Ans. Yes, need minimum marks in the language paper. DU require at least 30% in one language subject. If not, get this, then not eligible even if other marks are high. So do not ignore the language paper; it is very important for admission eligibility.

Admission:

I choose Cha Raju College of applied science over other colleges applied science because it offered the best balance of academic relevant and structure, curriculum and career oriented exposes, specially for my choosing program electronics honours dude, my college, dude, I choose my college due to its applied science focus, well design, construct and emphasis on both theoretical clarity and practical learning. The faculty supportive. The curriculum is aligned with university standards and the college environment encourage discipline Academy consistency and skill development. All girls also provide a safe and confident learning space which helps participate actively in academics and Extra curricular activities by Maharaja Agrasen College as a discipline Academy environment. Its core structure was more traditional with limited focus on applied learning and spectacle exposure. The curriculum did not align as closely with my long-term goals in electronics and technical oriented field which made a secondary option for me. Venkateshwar College is repetitive and competitive with strong academics and infrastructure. However, due to high cut-off competition, I was unable to secure admission. This may have been due to Katta limitation or Meri or CUT score based selection criteria rather than a lack of interest.

Admission:

My first preference was Shaheed Sukhdev because it is the best known college for BMS course, considering the placements, exposure, reputation, etc. However I did not make it there, I couldn't clear the cutoff by a couple questions. The competition for this college is very severe. My second choice was the college I am currently in, Shaheed Rajguru and I got into it in the very first list of DU. I chose it because it has a great NIRF rank, is well known for its good faculty and academics, has a good reputation. It is an off campus girls college so it lacks exposure.I gave academics a higher preference and that's why I chose this one. My further choices were Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, and College of Vocational Studies but since I got my 2nd preference in the first list itself, I didnt have to choose between them. They too are very good college for the same course. Talking about the exam process now, We had to sit for CUET UG. BMS at Delhi University particularly requires 3 subjects, English, General Test and Maths. The combined score of these 3 is then considered during the merit lists. You are also alloted course-wise ranks during the result process of CUET. My score was 500 for this and the cutoff for Shaheed Sukhdev was 550. The admission process was easy and there were around 3-4 merit lists released in total, plus a spot round.
