Ques. Do placements include international roles?
Ans. NMAMIT actively promotes international placements, especially through its strong collaborations with Japanese companies and universities. The institute has had MoUs with Ritsumeikan University and the University of Miyazaki since 2013, enabling student and faculty exchanges, internships, and even higher studies in Japan. Since then, full-time international recruitment has started, with 35 NMAMITians placed in multiple Japanese firms, and projections for 50+ placements this year. Companies like AIBOD, Nidec Read, Yokogawa, Sasken, Kobayashi Create, and more hire students directly from the campus. To support this, Japanese language is taught on campus, and pre-placement internships in Japan are offered to final-year students.
Ques. What’s the placement scenario in non-IT streams in NMAMIT?
Ans. The placement scenario for non?IT streams at NMAMIT is comparatively lower than CSE/ISE. Some of the Branches, like Mechanical, Civil, and Biotechnology, have done great placement success with the help of the campus, recruiting in both core and software roles. In recent years, Mechanical students received around 80 offers, Civil students about 18, and Biotechnology around 9 during the placement season. Recruiters in these streams include engineering firms, consulting companies, and a few IT recruiters offering software positions. Furthermore, international placement opportunities, especially in Japan, are also open to non?IT students, including select Civil engineering graduates. While average salary packages tend to be in the INR 4–6?LPA range, these branches still benefit from strong institutional support via the Abhyuday T\&P cell.

Ans. NMAMIT's Abhyuday Training & Placement Cell offers personalised support to its students during the entire placement process. There is a full-time dedicated team comprising a counsellor, placement executives, faculty coordinators, and student volunteers organise activities such as soft-skills workshops, mock interviews, group discussions, leadership and public speaking sessions, and technical aptitude tests to make them all-rounded persons and well-prepared for the recruitment process. They offer continuous guidance, career counselling, and even support for personal challenges. The placement cell also offers internships, off-campus job referrals for non-placed graduates, and alumni mentorship, with no commitment.
