Yes, SSN School of Management is part of overall initiative of the scholarship program of SSN Institutions. Six scholarships are awarded every year. Following are the scholarships provided by SOM Chennai:Merit Scholarship 100% and 50% tuition fee waiverMerit-cum-Means ScholarshipScholarships are awarded only after joining the program and not at the time of the grant of admission. First-year scholarships are awarded based on past academic records, admission test scores and GD/PI performance. How are admissions done under Management and Government Quota?

Government QuotaAdmissions to the Government Quota are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates seeking admission under the Government Quota must have written the TANCET exam (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Anna University. The single-window counseling normally takes place in the months of July/ August every year at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. Seats for the MBA program at SSN normally get filled up on the first day of counseling much ahead of its peer institutions.Management QuotaAdmissions under the Management Quota to SSN School of Management are made purely on merit. Candidates seeking MBA admissions under the Management Quota must have written one of the entrance tests - CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT or TANCET. The selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic record and performance at the Group Discussion and Personal Interview organized by the institution.

What is the cut off for admission in MBA?

The cut off for admission in MBA is as follows:CAT/ XAT/ CMAT: > 60 percentileMAT/ ATMA: > 80 percentileFor TANCET or any other state-level tests, the cut-offs are announced after the admission test results based on result patterns and ranks obtained.Students with a score slightly below the cut off marks will be considered for work experience or excellences in academics.

Review about SSN SOM for MBA course

Placement Experience:

From the end of the 3rd semester, the placement starts and you should get Min 60+ in cycle tests to become eligible for the interview. Totally 100+ companies came and 95% got placed. The highest package is 7.5 LPA by a federal bank for a Marketing role. Mostly, marketing and sales companies visited the campus and 80% got placed in that domain. I joined ICICI bank after my MBA as a relationship manager.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd-semester company's will come for campus placement. A total of 25 companies visited our college and out of 120,98 of us got job offers. average salary is 4 lakhs highest salary is 7 lakhs. 95% of students get placed every year. my next plan is to go for a job which I got in placement.

Remarks:

The school of management should provide more placement opportunities, There should not be autocratic type of behaviour from the leadership team especially MBA director and team! Don’t restrict the students from attending placements based on their academics or attendance! Let them prove themselves and come out with flying colours

There a website created for alumni & there would be a meeting every year where in the alumni meet and have fun and even share there experience which would encourage n teach there junior as to how they should be.
