MAHARAJA SURAJMAL INSTITUTE- THE BBA KING

Likes

The faculty is outstanding I must say, especially HOD of business administration department
The overall academic experience offered, competitions, opportunities and what not
The solid placement record as MSI is IPU's one of the top institute

Dislikes

The class room infrastructure is poor like below average
The lift and other utilities are also poor
Still some classrooms are devoid of smart boards and projectors

Placement Experience:

Students become eleigible for internship placements after 4 semester. Placement rate for MSI remains to be 90%+ Highest package offered in 2023 was 12 lakhs And lowest was 1.8 lakhs and average was 4-4.5 lakhs Famous companies like s&p global, Zomato, swiggy, Accenture, Microsoft, Google, Deloitte, TCS, Airtel etc

Good according to studies teachers are helpful
College societies are great part of the college
I also enjoy fests they arent good as du but with friends you enjoy it

Dislikes

Campus is not big like du colleges or even vips
Infrastructure issues. Sometimes the ac stop working and some class doesn’t even have ac
Placement issues and also packages are not much

Placement Experience:

For business department 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies that visited in 2023-24 are accenture , amazon , asian paints, hive ,zomato,godrej and boyce,etc total no. Of selections are approx 120 my plan is to get a placement after completion of my degree

Likes

I like the infrastructure and faculties the most but they have to improve BBA block classrooms
The crowd is very good as the mostly students are from delhi
The teacher’s are highly qualified and good in nature helps you in different things .

Dislikes

The college campus is not so big the building are good in infrastructure but the area is not so big because the campus is in delhi
The hostel is not good very poor if i want to rate out of 5 then it will get 1 star only
The strictness is very high the teachers are very strict about attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institute is famous for BBA courses in IPU so this motivated me to join this college The study and there are so many society regarding sales and placement which help to also get practical and the assignment also helps in our knowledge I think they can do smart class more No there is not a problem in class or exam

Likes

Faculty is very good and supportive they will help you in anything you need
Professors are well educated and vert good in their things
Opportunities there is numerous opportunities for growth

Dislikes

Infrastructure their is a thing bba student have to stay in old building and the btech students law students MBA students have very good facilities
Strictness getting strict is good at certain level but after that limit it irritates people
Distance from metro it is 2 km away from metro station I have to pay more after metro to get there

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements there a number companies visit my collage because it is number 1 in ipu but some of them don't offer packages 70 percent of students go for placement and they get it also I will enjoy some corporate life for 2 or 3 years after that MBA

I must say that the campus is comparatively better then other ipu college
Placement are the best because it s listed in top three colleges of ipu that’s why
They provide extra courses to the student other then your degree which are charged

Dislikes

Not much but canteen is not as good as they have to
Attendance should be seventy five percent of you have to appear for internals
The ac of seminar hall have a serious issue

Like I had dropped my year so I am choosing the best college so that I can't do mistake again and when I came to know that this is in the top college and even the are providing the best packages from last five years then I made my mind about this college

Likes

The faculty of the college is very supportive and experienced. They keep consulting you on various aspects rather than just focusing on studies.
There is so much greenery in the college and the infrastructure of the college also gives DU vibes. Also it is bigger as compared to other colleges of IPU.
Placements of the college are also decent. Almost 80-90% students get placed easily. But they have to work hard to get a good package.

Dislikes

The condition of classrooms is very poor. There is no AC in the most of the classrooms and even if it is there, it does not work.
There is only one canteen in the college and also it is in a very bad condition. There is no seating arrangement and also the kitchen of the canteen is very unhygienic.
There is too much strictness inside the campus

Placement Experience:

The main reason I got admission in MSI was of the placements. I think it was overhyped but yeah the college provides pretty decent placements but you have to work hard on your skills to secure a good package. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Reliance etc. visit the college. In my course BBA, the average package was 4.5 LPA and the highest package was 7.5 LPA.

Faculty members are very cooperative with students
Provides proper facilities for sports and cultural programs

Dislikes

Infrastructure for management studies is very poor
They don’t stick to what they promise to students
Rules and regulations are not so good as it feels to back in school life

In my view for BBA (G) we can prefer it as name of collage is enough for Job placements and internship placement some faculty teacher can be better but they are okay for these type of courses All thought we can think for this course for here

Management is very arbitrary and ignorant
Online services are not available for migration and other forms
Sports was not given much importance in the college

Placement Experience:

Maharaja Surajmal Institute is value for money. Placements: Almost everybody in the BBA course were placed. The highest placement in 2024 is Rs. 7,50,000. The average package in 2024 is Rs. 3,50,000. Recruiting companies include Federal Bank, Upgrade, etc. Students who got the internship from Bachelois in Business Administration are less likely to get it, as college doesn't help. Infrastructure: The quality of infrastructure is very poor in Maharaja Surajmal Institute. The library and labs are good but the classrooms don't have ACs. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. Don't join this college if you want to excel in sports. Hostel quality is very poor too. You won't find ACs in rooms. Moreover, there are Indian toilets, which are outdated. Faculty: Few teachers are seriously irritating and focus more on attendance than the quality of their teaching. A BBA course, in my opinion, doesn't make you job-ready but gives a basic outline of the job role and responsibilities

Maharaja Surajmal Institute was a good experience and take admission here as it is IPU's first ranked college for BBA

Likes

Faculty was good, they were educated and some of them were really good mentors.
The timings were also good and there were only four classes per day.
The college canteen also was very student friendly.

Dislikes

The campus was very small and used to get crowded during exams.
There were rarely any cultural programmes held.
Students were not allowed to join internships due to strict attendence criteria.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, students were eligible to sit in placements. Accenture, Deloitte, S&P Global, Tata and Unacademy and easymytrip are some companies that came to our college for placements. The CTC they gave was average of 5 lacs per annum. The highest was from S&P Global being 6lacs per annum. 50% students got placements while others joined their family business or are further studying. My plans are also to do a master's degree in Economics.

Organising cultural fest shows events that help us gain knowledge about our course as well

The infrastructure as compared to other University colleges
The management of faculty is not accurate
Less availability of books inside the library

Well for my course It's BBA B&I(Banking And Insurance). Gathering knowledge about a firm a person should primarily focus on the management team . Their line of work , superior - subordinate effect etc. Talking about improvements to be done can be providing students PDFs to learn.

What are your reviews of Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Delhi, for a BBA?

One of my friends studied there and according to him and his classmates it isthe worst institute to pursue a BBA degree.

Below are the points mentioned which will prove why they have such an aversion towards this institute:

Attendance is the major issue. You need to maintain at least 75% attendance. The professors can detain you at 74% attendance.
There are only two streams - BBA (General) and BBA (Banking & Insurance).
There are a total of six subjects in each semester. The faculty is not so good.
Mugging up is better than understanding the topic.
The infrastructure of the institute is outdated. The top floor is the administrative block, and the ground floor is for the campus.
No enthusiasm is shown for extra-curricular activities.

The college environment is a mix of decent students and dull students from various schools. MAIT and other below-average colleges conduct the seminars. The college timing is from 8:10-1:30, with a 20 minutes break at 11:00. There are six classes in a day. It feels similar to a school.
