Is there any provision of scholarships for students?

IITM Scholarships are provided to students on the basis of merit. Both Pre-Admission and In-house Scholarships are provided to meritorious students.

What events are organized by the institute?

IITM believes in adopting a holistic approach in creating leaders of the future. Apart from focusing on academic excellence, the institute promotes extracurricular activities to facilitate overall growth and personality development of students by organizing various events, seminars and programs. Students are an integral part of this process and are encouraged to participate by joining various societies and participating in Inter and Intra college events. Some of the Events organized are Orientation Day, Workshops, Industry Visits, Guest Lectures by Industry Experts, National & International Conference- IT and Management, Faculty Development Program and many more.

What is the reservation criteria of IITM New Delhi?

The existing reservation policy stipulates 10% seats as Management Quota Seats. Out of the remaining 90%, 85% are reserved for Delhi candidates and 15% for outside Delhi candidates. Further reservation for specific categories is as per the guidelines of Government of NCT of Delhi.

What is the procedure for admission in management seats?

The procedure for admission to management seats is stipulated below:The vacancies are advertised in one Hindi, one English newspaper of Delhi, on the website of the Institute (www.iitmjp.ac.in) and on the Notice Board of the Institute.Candidates are required to apply on a prescribed form.Merit List of the eligible candidates is displayed on the website of the Institute (www.iitmjp.ac.in) and on the Notice Board of the Institute. Shortlisted Candidates are required to appear personally for counseling to seek admission.

What is the fee structure of IITM New Delhi?

The fee is payable once a year for the entire academic year at the beginning of the academic session. A brief about the same is as follows:The first-year fee is collected by the GGSIP University and the refund rules are governed by the University. In subsequent years the Institute collects the fee and the fee so collected is not refundable.For students admitted under the Management Quota option, the fee is the same as prescribed by the Fee Committee.The Institute shall collect the fee and it shall be payable once in a year.If the student withdraws admission after the date of commencement of the course and the seat remains vacant, no fee shall be refunded.Security Deposit shall be refunded on successful completion of the course or on migration/withdrawal by applying for it.The Institution may deduct the cost of replacement on account of the loss of library book/document or any fine imposed by the Institute due to damage etc done individually/collectively to the property of the Institute or for indiscipline.

IITM - The truth of our college

Likes

I liked the Crowd.The crowd was really good students with sharp minds and creativity
Teaching criteria was nice it involved both practice and theoretical learning
Placement opportunities. In the last year of your course college will provide many placement opportunities

Dislikes

The management was very poor. This college doesn't know how to manage things
The campus was very small and conjusted and college has no ground
Lift doesn't work in this college we had to take stairs to thr fifth floor which was very hectic

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester students are eligible for campus placement and companies starts their recruitment. Company like HCL,Wipro, Amazon, NatWest comes and hier candidates from our college. The average package is 3LPA and the highest is 8-9LPA. From our class 75% of the students got placed.My plan after the degree is to become data analyst.

The faculty's are very supportive and their teaching methods are very dynamic. The way of teaching with real life example makes it more easy to understand concepts.
The infrastructure and campus amenities are on point.
Social interactions and engagement has been always great.

Placement Experience:

From end of 5th semester the students are eligible for campus placements . Companies like genpact,jll,natwest,amazon,hdfc bank,ntt data visited campus, The average package would be 3.5 LPA and highest 9LPA.

Our college has 100% placements. After 5th sem students are eligible for placements. Companies visited are wipro, etc. My plans after degree is to pursue masters in commerce. There are many students which go for college placememts. We are also given alumni meetings which are placed in well reputed companies.

Insights about IINTM.

Likes

The quality of education is one of the I like the most. Things were explained in a good manner for me to understand it better.
The computer labs were my favorite place to be in as it was very well made and maintained providing you comfortable sitting with cushioned chairs and ACs all around. My teacher always made the lab classes one of the most interesting class.
The faculty was another thing I liked. They were friendly and willing to help in every possible way the main emphasis was not just laid on syllabus completion but to impart knowlegde to students which would be useful for them.

Dislikes

no sports ground was one of the disappointing things as you will have to travel to another college sports complex for sports activities.

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are eligible for Campus placements. Deloitte, Wipro Ltd., PWC, Infosys, TCS, HDFC Bank, Amazon, SAP labs, Natwest Group, JLL, etc. are some of the big names giving placements. I have no such accurate data on the number of offers made by each of them. 90% or more students get placements. My plan is to do a master's after getting the degree.

From the Heart and Mind of an Average student

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards a student is eligible to get placed in one of the companies. There were quite a lot of companies which visited some of them were Wipro,Pwc India,TCS,Incedo,Publicis,JLL,Byjus and the made offers around 400 totally combined. Highest package offered according to my knowledge was of PWC it was of 4 lakh 60 thousand and It was a profile of AR/AP specialist. Around 35% of students were placed from campus. I will go for corporate job and then after 5 years i will ho for mba.
