Kerala University Distance Education was started in 1976, as a research and teaching department of the university, has been one of the colonist Centre of distance education in the state. Kerala University Distance Education offers 25 programs, which include UG and PG courses, through the distance mode of education under the departments of literature, Commerce, Science, Humanities, Library & IT, and Information Sciences. The University of Kerala offers various undergraduate programs in a variety of streams of Science, Commerce and Arts which enables the needful and the eligible candidate to acquire professional education apart from their earning. For admission to all the undergraduate courses (except BLISc), it is compulsory that the candidates are required to pass 10+2 from a recognized board of education.

The Selection of candidates will be done on merit basis obtained by the candidate in the qualifying exam. Applications can be easily submitted easily through the online portal of SDE, Kerala university.

All the PG courses except M.L.I.Sc are of 1-year duration.

Kerala University Distance Education PG Selection Criteria

Admission for distance education Programs Prospectus can be easily obtained from the office of the School of Distance Education after Payment of Rs.250/- by Friends/DD (SBI)/University Cash Challan Receipt.
The receipt number and counterfoil provided while online registration should be retained.
Candidates who are residing in a foreign country will have to submit a DD of INR 265/- in addition. Each Bank Draft amount should carry an additional amount of Rs.10/- for service charge. Admission notifications are usually issued in leading national and regional dailies.

Students who are seeking admission shall apply online only. the Facility of Online registration for admission is provided through www.ideku.net or www.sde.keralauniversity.ac.in

None of the students shall be eligible for the admission to a First- Degree Program in any of the subject unless he/she has successfully completed, the exam which is conducted by a Board/University at the +2 level of schooling or its equivalent
There should be a minimum of 10-16 days of PCP in a semester distributed over a minimum period of 5-8 weeks and a minimum of 60 hours of instruction ordinarily.
Odd semester (June - Oct) shall commence in June and Even semester (Nov - March) shall commence in November every year.

You should pass 12th in order to enter this course. There are many colleges out there with distance education system. You can go there during admission time and enquire. Or you can directly visit the university of Kerala kariavattom campus. Now they moved the office to the main university as per my knowledge. But still it's available. Admission procedures are not hard .

In distance education, we do not need any entrance exam to get admission. They prefer that student get more than 55% mark in their graduation so they are able to get admission to schools of distance education. Admission:
