The college provides buses in the morning and evening. There are five buses in total and the buses travel Changanacherry, Kayamkulam, Cherthala, Edathua-Thiruvalla, Muhamma- Thanneermukkom and Mavelikkara routes everyday. The bus facility is used by teachers as well as students.

The infrastructure of the college is excellent. Moreover, the classrooms and labs are well equipped. In addition, practical experiences are given more importance than theory which provides the students with hands-on experience. The placement cell is extremely efficient and students have been known to be placed at prestigious companies like Infosys.

Does the college provide accommodation facilities like hostels to the students and are they good?

Yes, the college, indeed, provides accommodation to the students. However, students must keep in mind that the hostel intake is limited and make arrangements accordingly.

Very good appreciable teaching by understanding students
A positive atmosphere with lot of green trees.

Good placement and i got placement at bajaj finserv pune for 1 year intership with a stipent of 11000 after the course. They also put up fest for students to meet different companies and arranged interviews with them.

Likes

College ambience is nice and enjoyable with greenery
Faculties are more friendly and have attachments with students
Placement opportunities are provided with several companies.

Dislikes

Focuses only on studying not on any other programs
Doesn't give enough promotion for sports.
Even after attending the class they may not provide attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

Excellent course but there are several unnecessary subjects provided that is not at all useful in the course. The syllabus is getting outdated which not at all helpful in future and the syllabus includes very old inventions.

Although college is not as big as other colleges it has covered almost every aspect of other collegs be it in terms of labs other other sports areas.Also the college has got elevators for teachers and differently abled students.

Placement Experience:

If i talk about the placements in our college it is neither too good nor too bad. If a person is in need of money,he can go on with placement jobs But if a person is in chase of good salary then placements would not help

THE TEACHERS AND STAFF ARE REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL
THE COLLEGE BUS SERVICE IS GREAT AND RELIABLE
THE CANTEEN IS NICE, WITH GOOD FOOD AND GOOD ATMOSPHERE

THE LIBRARY IS JUST OKAY. IT WORKS , BUT IT COULD DEFINITELY BETTER
SPORTS FACILITIES ARE NOT GREAT, AND THERE IS NOT MUCH ENCOURAGEMENT FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN SPORTS
THE CANTEEN FOOD WAS LITTLE BIT EXPENSIVE

OUR COLLEGE HAS A PLACEMENT CELL THAT HELPS STUDENTS TO GET JOB OPPORTUNITIES. STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PLACEMENTS STARTING FROM THE 7TH SEMESTER. SOME COMPANIES THAT VISIT FOR PLACEMENTS INCLUDE HMT, KELTRON, AND MRF. AROUND 25% OF STUDENTS GET PLACED THROUGH CAMPUS RECRUITMENT. THE AVERAGE SALARY IS AROUND 2-3 LAKHS PER YEAR AND THE HIGHEST SALARY IS AROUND 4-5 LAKHS PER YEAR. AS FOR ME, AFTER FINISHING MY DEGREE, I PLAN TO STUDY ABROAD FOR FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES.

The overall atmosphere was clean, the staffs were friendly.
The teachers were good at supporting us and with our studies.
Canteen was good, clean, good food. Nice atmosphere.

Dislikes

The Management sooo bad, it was yuckkkkk
The management restricted from activities such as sports and etc..
Management was bad, didnt focus on development until NBA people came..:(

I joined CSE but i studied many useless things that i might not even remember, overall idk. Some topics was good and was interesting. I loved the subjects that was related to CSE.

All the teachers are very helpful and qualified
Iam satisfied with the facilities provided at the college
The college has really good infrastructure

Dislikes

Percentage of placement is low when compare to other college
There is no parkingg space for studentss

Placement cellis not that good when compare to other colleges . But some companies from IT field , TCS ....and some small companies come to pick students . But the number of students gets placed is very low when compare to other colleges

The department teachers were really friendly and helps you however they can
The classrooms were really nicely ventilated
The washrooms were moderately well maintained

Dislikes

The principal was not a good person and almost everyone in the college including the teachers disliked him

Placement Experience:

So placements are not at all good at this college and not enough companies especially looking for eee students come here. The annual package the companies offer are also very low with a maximum of 4lpa to a minimum of 2 lpa. Companies like sutherland are one of the mass recruiters from the college. I plan to study further after i complete my degree

Good teaching strategies by the faculties. Covering portions on time.
Great infrastructure. Good atmosphere. Eco-friendly atmosphere.
Facilities are good and latest technologies are available.

Dislikes

Sometimes overload works are given without even considering students mental health.

Placement Experience:

Placements are all good everytime 54% of students get placements. And are on MNCs like Infosys, TCS,etc. They will train us for the placement interview. Boost our confidence by giving high level interview classes.

Carmel College of Engineering, the truth.

Likes

College have a cricket team which competes in University games.
Have a good collection of books in library compared to other self financing colleges.

Dislikes

Doesn't have enough support for extracurricular activities.
Most students who joins here doesn't have an idea about engineering and most of them lacks passion.
Teaching is like spoon feeding rather than making students understanding what they are studying.

Placement Experience:

Only final year students are eligible for campus placements. Mostly IT companies and banking sector comes for the placements. No core companies were there for it unless one or two for Mechanical engineering. Highest package will be given to the CS stream only. Not more than 25/26 students from a class gets a placement.

Likes

I like mainly our department the facilities are very supportive.
Mechanical departments have special clubs and activities to develop our knowledge and skills.
The college is very environmental friendly.

Dislikes

Placement cell should be improved much more.
I felt the college structure like a hospital.
The management of the college is very strict.

Placement Experience:

Comparatively technical campus placements are fewer mainly in the mechanical and electrical fields. But our faculty supports finding external placements. Faculties find some sources for students like websites to register and other sources.
