Carmel College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2014-15 by a Public Charitable Trust with the goal to provide education to all in the fields of technology and engineering.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college facilitates the students in getting placed at top companies by equipping them with necessary tools to work with and enhancing their personalities in order to prepare them to face the rigorous corporate world.
The college organizes seminars and guest lectures by eminent personalities and experts to introduce students to the various dimensions and demands of the professional world.
The cell trains students in their communication skills, professional etiquette, demeanor, and overall personality. The cell also conducts mock tests and interviews as well as career counselling for the benefit of the students.
In 2020, the college saw a placement of all students of Electrical and Electronics engineering. Top recruiting companies were from sales and teaching. Additionally, students got paid internships in companies like BSNL and KSEB.

Carmel College of Engineering and Technology offers several facilities to the students. There is a hostel, library, canteen, cafeteria, and a hospital in case of a medical emergency. The campus has 2 basketball courts and a football court, along with a cricket ground.
- Hostel- The hostels are well furnished and equipped with the students’ basic and immediate requirements. There are separate hostels for boys and girls which are taken care of by Catholic nuns and priests. Moreover, the hostel provides both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The accommodation capacity of the hostel is 60 for boys and 50 for girls.
- Library- The library contains resources like books and journals both online and in print. The collection of books varies science, career, personality development to fiction. The library is also a member of the National Library Network.
- Canteen- The canteen of the college serves a variety of food items. From snacks and drinks to healthy hot meals, everything is available at the canteen. The canteen timings are from 7:30 pm to 6:30 am.

Ans. The college provides buses in the morning and evening. There are five buses in total and the buses travel Changanacherry, Kayamkulam, Cherthala, Edathua-Thiruvalla, Muhamma- Thanneermukkom and Mavelikkara routes everyday. The bus facility is used by teachers as well as students.

Ans. The infrastructure of the college is excellent. Moreover, the classrooms and labs are well equipped. In addition, practical experiences are given more importance than theory which provides the students with hands-on experience. The placement cell is extremely efficient and students have been known to be placed at prestigious companies like Infosys.

- The principal was not a good person and almost everyone in the college including the teachers disliked him
Admission:
I got the admission for the college because i cleared the KEAM exam. It is fairly simple to pass the exam and you can apply for admission to ccet if you passed keam. You apply for the vollege either by going to the college or online. According to your keam marks you can enter either on mangement quota or merit quota. The admission process is managed by the faculty and it is done fairly easily and in a simple way.

- Good teaching strategies by the faculties. Covering portions on time.
- Great infrastructure. Good atmosphere. Eco-friendly atmosphere.
Dislikes
- Sometimes overload works are given without even considering students mental health.
Admission:
During admission they told college bus fare is not connected to semester. But now they are telling bus fees should be remitted with semester fee. That's not a good doing. Bus facilities need to be improved and maintenance have to be done. During rain water is coming from the AC vents and window lamination.

- College have a cricket team which competes in University games.
- Have a good collection of books in library compared to other self financing colleges.
Dislikes
- Doesn't have enough support for extracurricular activities.
- Most students who joins here doesn't have an idea about engineering and most of them lacks passion.
Admission:
I joined via Lateral Entry after completing Diploma. The minimum rank to join this college can be found as low as 250+. I had an All Kerala Rank of 66 so I had no issues in joining. The joining should be done only via government allotments. There is management seats available but for reducing the risk register at the government portal.

- I like mainly our department the facilities are very supportive.
- Mechanical departments have special clubs and activities to develop our knowledge and skills.
Dislikes
- Placement cell should be improved much more.
- I felt the college structure like a hospital.

Application process are mainly in 3 type. We can get government seat by taking keem entrance exam. Other two modes are management seat and NRI seat. The students taking government seat getting scholarship from the university by considering their income. Others get scholarship under their marks. Both cgpa and sgpa should greater than 8. The application form and admission procedure can read through college website or website can contact the college directly. The exams conduct ontime. The procedures of admission process are very clear and good.

AICTE-approved, University affiliation, an anti-ragging policy, and Online fee payment facilities, They also have an academic audit, which really helps each student, a Good atmosphere, and well-educated teachers. No need foe improvement in the admission process.

You should be 12th pass and an average mark to get admission to this college. You will get all the application forms and details in the college itself. When you go to the college carry all your documents with you. There will be a small interview and should clear that. Then the staffs verify the documents and proceed with the admission and fee structure. If you are in a reserved category then the fee structure is discounted. The overall admission process is so simple and the campus is very good.

The eligibility is 10th or 12th pass.we can apply online through internet cafe or self . application fee cost only 150 rupees.no I don't want any improvement to the admission process .it is a great chance to students to learn about there passion in there thank you

The college is very good They provide placement to the students from sixty per cent. The lowest package was 2.5 Lacs per annum and the highest was 7.3 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies were ibs, tata consultancy. From 60 per cent of students were getting internships.

My college is very famous for its discipline and punctuality. My college is well known for its campus placement and recruitments. They offer good parking facilities for students and faculties. The administrative office has enough faculties for better help for the customers.

No specific reason, a good engineering college with good academic standards and managed by CMI fathers and very near to my home, aside of National highways,by church and temple,and semi urban areas.
