ITER,SOA Campus 1 through lenses of 2022 batch.

Faculty:

Faculty number is good and it depends on the faculty whether he or she is friendly or not but mostly all faculties are approcable. Total 8th sem and exams like quiz,midsems and endsems are conducted.The marking scheme is half the marks taken from midsems and other from the endsems which is of 60 marks. The exams date where not annouced before at was provided just one or two days ago which was troublesome..The exam management can be soo much better

College life in ITER

Faculty:

We won't blame every faculty member of the college but yes some of the faculty members are never ready to listen to the problems of students like if girls tell about their period cramps or any injury,they are never ready to listen. Those students who fail in exam are charged a lot of money that is for each subject around 2k-4k. Some teachers are liberal in marking but you have to maintain atmost decency during classes which creates a good impact on faculty members.

Faculties I Liked: Dr. Minaketan Sarangi (Mathematics): He is brilliant. Most students hate Math, but he solves problems on the board step-by-step rather than just reading from a PDF. He is very chill if you are late by 5 minutes. Prof. Anjali Das (Computer Science): She actually has industry experience. Instead of just teaching textbook theory, she helps us with competitive coding and Hackerrank problems. She pushes us to learn technologies that are actually used in jobs. Faculties I Didn't Like: Mr. Sumit Swain (Engineering Mechanics/Physics): I didn't enjoy his classes because he relies entirely on PPTs. He comes to class, reads the slides word-for-word, and leaves. If you ask a doubt, he often says, "Check the book." Lab Assistants in physics: Some of them are very rude and deduct marks for tiny reasons like not wearing shoes or forgetting the lab manual, rather than focusing on whether we performed the experiment correctly.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio is balanced enough to ensure that the students recieve adequate personal attention and acaademic support. Faculty members are generally approachable, encouraging students to ask questions and seek guidance. Out of my 5 teachers I like my Maths sir Mr Panda and Universal Human Values teacher Mrs. Shanti MIshra the most, they are very interactive and their teaching method is understandable. There are no reasons to dislike the teachers other teachers and faculty is also good. 2 exams are conducted each semester mid-sem and end sem examinations, in the middle of the semester and at the end, mid-sem is of 30 marks and end sem of 60 marks, 2 quizzes of each subject is taken before the mid sem exam and after it and they carry around 5 marks. You also get 5 marks for maintaining an overall attendance of 75% across the subjects and min. 50% is required to sit in the end sem exams. The exam level is from moderate to hard in which some students fail to get their desired marks. Overall the marking scheme and curriculum is good.

Faculty:

The faculty to student ratio is very good with 5 teacher on small sized batches ranging from 50-70 students. There are few teachers that are very strict like my Maths and UHV teacher. But there teachers like the Universal Physics and Mechanics teacher, Applied Computational Thinking teacher and ICP teacher . With my favorite being the UPM teacher, he teaches good, is funny. Quizzes are held twice in a semester. There are mid term semester examination of 30 marks held in the middle of semester and then there is end semester examination of 60 marks and lab exams too. In the first year the exam difficulty is easy to moderate but 2nd year onwards it is between moderate and hard.

Faculty members are good. They all are PhD holders, and they try to teach us. It's depend upon you want to study or not faculty are friendly and decent. There are two exams in a semester one is midterm and one is handsome. Paper difficulty is moderate, not too eas not too hard and marking scheme is also good.

every faculty is good and friendly not like old guy they are young and sweet. they supports us in various club activities.they have set time that perfectly that no class will be there without any faculty i mean every faculty has an assistant faculty,so every thing is fine u always feel its like college not school.to be honest i like our faculty advisor, she's so kind and sweet.maybe u can find some of them bad but its like 1% chance u will get bad faculty advisor.the conduct varios quizes and many task and assignment,we have mid sem and final sem for exam.its not that hard dont have to worry,students clear all task easily.
