At that time, the computer science stream wasn’t as appealing due to the US market crash and other factors.

So, I embarked on my journey! I had no clear idea of where I was headed. I found myself enjoying the production engineering aspects of biotechnology. Deep down, I felt like a mechanical engineering guy wanting to be the tough guy, rather than someone in a white coat peering through a microscope. I worked hard to secure a project in a relevant area.

Both Adamas University Kolkata and SOA University offer solid BALLB Hons. programs, but Adamas seems to have a slight edge in terms of placements and internships. Adamas has a more extensive support system with a dedicated Law Library and various clubs that enhance practical exposure, which can be beneficial for networking and securing internships. While SOA University has good faculty support, its scholarship options are limited compared to Adamas, which offers merit scholarships. If you're looking for better job/package prospects and a vibrant campus life, I would recommend Adamas University. However, if you're prioritizing a specific area of law or have personal connections to SOA, that could sway your decision.

Yes, many people in India may advise against pursuing a career in biotechnology. It's a tough reality that the biotechnology job market in India is quite competitive. However, if you have a passion for biology or biotechnology, don't let that deter you!

In countries like Canada and the USA, the healthcare sector is thriving, creating opportunities for innovation. In these developed nations, such programs are offered to the most talented individuals. So, while biotechnology may not be the top choice in India, it's still a valuable field where you can tackle real-life problems.

Despite the challenges, this sector is growing rapidly in India, and in a few years, there’s a strong possibility that India could emerge as a leading biotech hub.
