Likes

Exposure to various academy important activities.
Various extra curricular activities and supportive environment.
Facilities for science students such as lab Facilities. Variety courses that have scope in current scenario.

Dislikes

The tensed situation that comes around during the exams when portions have to be completed
The campus is distributed in various parts therefore difficult to reach out .
Canteen facility can improve a lot more .It was good the previous years

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities are provided in the library. But stipend is not given . Every science department has well knowledgeable professors that are very good in in their subjects . Students from various collge come to avail projects.

Likes

Infrastructure of college is really appreciated,faculty members are really friendly and good behaviour.
College provided a vast library with so many books of different genres
Our college has a very neat and beautiful garden with lots of various plant species

Dislikes

It will be better if practical skills are also be the part of curriculum
There are no opportunities to do internships .

Placement Experience:

The college provides campus placements.But only third year students can apply to it.companies like Tata,Bajaj,Wipro etc visit our college for campus placements.The packages are different according to the eligibility of students and companies.

Likes

College infrastructure is appreciatable and the way of gardening the staff's etc are good, library facilities are great and one of the attracting is garden library its an heaven.
I tried to participate in cultural programs but I am not involved in NSS or NCC. I was part of the member of some of the club's like dance etc.
The method of teaching is very good and understandable mostly teaching done by presenting ppt so it's easy to write lucture notes.

Dislikes

Less lab equipments which I felt during my project otherwise it's fine for our subject studies.

Internships Opportunities:

I have done my BSc in botany so I don't have compulsory intenship in my syllabus so I haven't done any intenship during my degree. During project one of the thing we faced is lack of time and guidance for completing the project.

Likes

The faculties who are so friendly to students
The campus provides a good and refreshing feel
The feel free places for students to relax

Dislikes

The only dislike is lack of building facility in self financing block

Internships Opportunities:

The internship and projects varies according to the departments. In commerce department students must do internship programs in all three years and the certificates must be submitted in the department. The vimala college Library provides internship to students and also provides certificates.

Vimala College Autonomous, Thrissur- My journey

Likes

Learning facilities are good. Every class has projector and other facilities. Vimala College has a good library and computer lab.
Mentorship quality. Teachers are good. They support us in every academic needs.
Always arrange career development classes and other informative sessions.

Dislikes

Campus is not so big to explore. Some teachers only support academic matters not arts.
Canteen is not students friendly. Price of everything is same as outside campus.

Internships Opportunities:

Students done internships from IIT Palakkad,Vijnan Sagar Science and Technology Park Thrissur, KFRI Peechi, local panchayat offices, libraries etc. Usually students got for internships in companies related to their core subjects. From these internships some students are being experts in different computer programmings and some get experience in teaching and soon. They are getting practical knowledge in any field.

The placement makers invites various companies that will recruit us (students) in their companies. The internship are also provided to the students, but it totally depends on students that weather they are interested in doing internship or not. But the internship is compulsory.

The training and placement cell did conduct our developmental training for some time towards the end, but there were no campus placements. However, we found good jobs with decent packages in companies.
