St. Paul's College Ernakulam: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 5 Reviews

The college offers an MSc Chemistry course with a qualified and experienced faculty, mostly holding PhDs or postgraduate degrees. The program spans two years and includes four semesters, each with two internal assessments. Students tackle four chemistry papers per semester, except in the fourth semester, which has three. The curriculum is demanding, particularly in the first and third semesters, but students generally perform well. The annual college fee is 55,000, split into 32,000 for odd semesters and 23,000 for even semesters, which may be burdensome for middle-class families.

Specific fees for MSc Chemistry are 36,500 for the first semester, 22,500 for the second and third semesters, and 25,000 for the fourth semester, plus 500 for laboratory maintenance. Scholarships are limited but include options like the post-matric, Joseph Mundassery, and Chief Minister's merit scholarships, with departmental staff available to help. Placements are available, though few students secure positions, and there are no internship opportunities or project stipends. Campus placements are not well-organized, which could be improved for better student outcomes.

For my course the fee for one year is 47k for two semesters excluding of the fee that is required for admission and other proceedings. The other fees like lab fee , admission fee etc varies . There are scholarships available for many students and there is a staff in every department who helps the students with this . Campus placement is not that proper .
