My BMLT Journey at GNIPST

Likes

The BMLT syllabus is aligned with industry standards and clinical lab practices.
Faculty are experienced, with many holding M.Sc./PhD degrees in medical and paramedical fields.
The college has a decent campus-neither too crowded nor too isolated.

Dislikes

While regular cleaning is scheduled, deep cleaning is often delayed.
Wi-Fi is inconsistent in some blocks or upper floors.

Admission:

I applied to several colleges For BMLT, including NSHM Kolkata, Jis University, and Techno India University. I got confirmed admission from NSHM and GNIPST. I choose GNIPST due to its affordable fees, better academic environment, well-equipped labs, and experienced faculty.

One of the prime aspect to be appreciated is our Labs. BMLT students find good opportunities to learn a lot from the laboratories.
Our campus consists of full of greenary areas making it suitable for spending off time and huge fields are present for the students to participate in various sports and compition.
Each student is assigned with a mentor during 4 years and the highly qualified teachers guide the students very well and shapes them well for future placement opportunities.

GNIPST is a NAAC accredited college with affiliation under MAKAUT also recognised by UGC. And it a JIS. Group of colleges which itself speaks about a quality. GNIPST provides interships of each and every students in government and also private sector making the students familiar to every aspect. The placement cell is very active om GNIPST.

The campus amenity is learning facilities and extra curricular activity are appreciated and the college in a labs needed improvement. Engagement of in campus life is very helpful to intract with others even with teachers. There is good quality of soc
The faculties are expertise and they have enough knowledge that teaching methods are also good even the mentorship provided by the colleges also good. The college provides good placement service and they support for our career advancement
College campus has good amenities and learning facilities including library computer lab and others

Dislikes

Behaviour of the staff members, lab machines, library card system
Quality of mess and canteen, cleanliness of college washrooms

Admission:

I have applied for institute of genetic engineering for the same course BSc genetics but I to admission in Guru Nanak institute of pharmaceutical sciences because they are the only other colleges in West Bengal who provides BSc genetics as their course and I choose this college because this is under GIS group and this is well known in West Bengal. I did not get any rejection from the other colleges I applied. I was admitted to change institute of genetic engineering but they were having some issue internal issues regarding to their properties so they couldn't make our university registration work so I get admission to the Guru Nanak institute of pharmaceutical sciences and technology

Likes

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well
Teacher are very good and friendly for us

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Admission:

I got into the college from the fact my sister has passed out from this colllege and she recommended me this college and i got in it!! The admission process was really easy you first need to have a talk with the principal with your paresnts and then fill some documents in the office and its done

Review of my college details

Likes

All faculty are very helpful in our college. Our college is well decorated. Classrooms are too good. Every classroom have projectors. The library facility is also so good. There have good placements in different companies.
They also provide 100% placements in all students. Scholarship facility are available for higher degree students.

Dislikes

I think that laboratory facility are needed to improve, because some chemicals are not found in the lab for the purpose of practical experiment.

The eligibility of the course is different entrance exams. They also see our Madhyamik and HS marksheet. Minimum 60% marks are needed for the admission. The admission is open in the months of May in every year.

My Journey in GNIPST

Likes

I like that every student is under a mentor for guidance.
I like the work culture of our university.
I like the fact that teachers are very supportive towards there mentee.

Dislikes

I dislike the most is the hygiene is not priority in our college
College charges huge fines for late fees and low attendance
Teachers are not cooperative when it comes to low attendance

Admission:

Eligibility of course: Class 12 pass with 55% and above in biology , chemistry, physics. The application form, fees structure and dates can be found in the Gnipst.ac.in website. Like all other universities Gurunanak institute of pharmaceutical science and technology conducts 2 semesters each year during the months June and December along with monthly Internal exams. The admission process is very smooth.

The cultural activities, faculties whom are very friendly
The library,, where we can have a vast resource
The auditorium and language lab ...the college has also a greenary environment

Dislikes

Labs don't have a proper laboratory equipment
Microscope are sometimes found broken it should be calibrated
Glass apparatus are poor it should modified and new one may include

The eligibility is 10+2 Application forms of the CET exams are available online and although at college campus They conduct continuous assessment every month and there is a semester exam in 6 months Labs should be more calibrated

Equipments are not that good in the lab, professor are not that qualified

Admission:

Admission process was very smooth. Need to give one exam called CET, which is a very easy exam. I don't like difficultliness of the exam and also the exam paper. It was not directly aligned with any 12th subject

Their strategy of teaching like taking exams every month and also preparing for interviews etc
Few teaching methods of some faculty and their guidance

Dislikes

Faculty ignorance on students when they need them
Partiality between students as they will give marks to those students who they favour the most
Instruments are broken and they never repair it
