"VGEC uncovered: My journey at Gujarat's one of the best colleges"

Likes

1) affordable college anyone can afford its fees
2)hostel facility available at cheap rate

Dislikes

1) gets very dirty in monsoon season due to potholes
2)washrooms are half of the year not well cleaned in college

Fees and Financial Aid:

The detailed fee structure is about 4000 for one semester excluding all the exam fees. The fees for the complete course would be around 35000 excluding exam fee and other fees. I came through pmsss so i get a schlorship of 1 lakh per year. Other then this there is also a schlorship for gujarat students.

Likes

College campus is very big and there are so much greenary
Campus placement number is very good and it stable or increase year by year

Dislikes

College structure is too old and the classes and buildings are not comfortable other than auditoriums.
Mess food quality is very poor and taste is not good

Fees and Financial Aid:

We have annual college fee structure is about 3200 rs 1600 per semester and and 850 around University exam fees for final examination. We got government scholarship named mysy or foodbill around 15000.all category students have the same fees structure there are no change , for girls its free of cost they don't have to pay any college fees , and its government college so no increment in fees

All about VGEC

Likes

The faculty of VGEC is very helpfull in academics as well as non-academics.
The placement of VGEC Computer Engineering batch 2024 is very good. 70-80% student got placed.

Dislikes

The quality of mess food is decent. but at this cost it is good.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The yearly fees is around 3200. There is no other fees only 3200 tutuion fees is there. All students pays same amount of fees except girls student. Girls student fees is 0. Government of India provide mysy scholarship which is 17000 for first year and 12000 for next 3 years.

Overall a decent college

Likes

The college is located in Ahmedabad. So it provides you exposure to outside world if you have been living in Village area your whole life. Also you can get job right in Ahmedabad so you get enough time to get used to the city.
The college provide campus placement with average package for computer science of 5-6 lpa

Dislikes

The quality of education is bad. They don't care how you complete your lab manual s and assignments.
The washrooms are not cleaned properly,and water supply is not good

Fees and Financial Aid:

This is government engineering college, so the fees is very less. Throughout semester you have to pay two fees. One is semester fees of stock 1800 and exam fees of 300. Girls don't have to pay. Of you are living in hostel then boys have to pay 1500 , again for girls there is no hostel fees. No scholarship is given by college but you can try from outside

Faculty members are very supportive they are very helpful in any kind of educational or social work. Also they encourage you to participate in different different cultural as well as education events like hackathone,Robo fight,etc
Social life in this college was very decent as it is a government college mostly students came from lower middle class family so they are very shy in nature but very helpful and humble

Dislikes

I dislike collge infrastructure. The college infrastructure is very poor and ambients are very cheap even all the washroom are very dirty

Fees and Financial Aid:

As it is a government college the tution fees as well as hostel fees are very low compared to othe private colleges. Even if you include all your tution and hostel fees , transportation Expenses, food , other extra curriculum activities Expenses, Documents for submission, exam fees you will complete ypur degree within 1.25-1.5 lakhs

Life at vgec

Likes

Infrastructure is better than other government colleges and faculties are also good and supportive.
There are too many clubs in college and also many events are occur in college.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution fees are very less as 1500 per semester for boys and 850 per semester for girls and hostel fees are also less 1265 per semester for girls. And facilities are good as we have canteen ,gymkhana, garden, library, etc. and scholarship is also available. open/ews students can apply mysy and obc/sc/st can apply digital gujrat scholarship, And in placement our college is on top, every year good companies are coming in every fiels. And they offer average 4 to 5 LPA.

Life at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College

Likes

College environment is good , seniors are supportive.
College infrastructure is also good , spacious and a lot of garden area is there

Dislikes

Computer labs have a lot of unoperable computers

Fees and Financial Aid:

It's a government college so of course fee is less , 1500 per year for boys and free for girls. So it's very affordable, but doesn't mean college is not good , it's one of the best engineering college you will find in Gujarat. We have quiet great placements avg placements are 6 lpa

The scholarship is named MYSY and provides you the 15000 per month of the scholarship amount. The fee is not so high that you need financial assistance. The campus jobs are awesome as many often kept on visiting.
