VJEC CSBS FAQs
Ques. Is CSBS at VJEC a good choice compared to CSE? Will I get the same job opportunities?
Ans. CSBS at VJEC covers approximately 70% of the CSE syllabus, with the remaining 30% focused on business analytics, marketing, operations, and management subjects. Graduates are eligible for the same IT sector jobs as CSE students, and TCS has historically preferred CSBS graduates for certain roles. However, for highly technical roles or research-oriented careers, CSE may offer a slight edge. If you are interested in product management, business analysis, or tech consulting, CSBS is an excellent choice.
Ques. What is the actual fee I will pay per year at VJEC for CSBS? Are there any hidden charges?
Ans. The tuition fee is Rs. 1,00,500 per year. In addition, there is a one-time refundable caution deposit of Rs. 10,000 at the time of admission. University exam fees are charged separately each semester (approximately Rs. 5,000-6,000 per semester). There are no donation charges for management seats. If you opt for hostel, additional charges apply (approximately Rs. 13,500 per semester for room + Rs. 3,300-3,600 per month for mess).

The department is headed by Dr. S Vadhana Kumari (M.E., Ph.D.) and is part of the broader CSE department. The college is NBA accredited and has active professional bodies including ACM, CSI, and IEEE.
