The main pluc point of VCET is that is is very much close to the railway station and lies on the opposite end of mumbai, therfore no mumbai local crowd. process of admission is through mht-cet. minimum criteria is 85%ile. i personally always had this college in mind since it is close to my home.

Some salty and peppery things about VCET

Likes

College campus is good like in the entrance they have situated godess saraswati which gives us a lot of positiv vibes as soon as we enter
All the classes of our college is air conditioned comfy environment we can be very comfortable with some faculties.
Positive thinking cozy environment central library which has variety of books to read.

Dislikes

Campus is not that big as compared to other colleges.
Some faculties are new so its difficult to face with them.
Limitations and restrictions of time and space during college festivals

Admission:

It was just a random decision behind choosing this college like i was too linient while choosing colleges as i have scored 82 percentile in jee sp i was way too much fearless regarding colleges but at the end i came to know the seats are getting full everywhere i went to many colleges they rejected then finally i got this college under offline round due to my percentile.

Actually I wanted father agnel in bandra but in first cap this college was allotted so my parents forced me to take this college comparatively this college is near less travelling is required and for field which I have choosen this college is good . Admission process is same as other colleges college is alloted through government quata and we will the form and fees and submit the documents which are mentioned in the form

Pros and cons of College

Likes

There are lots of committees related to particular department which helps to develop various skills.
The faculty is very supportive.They help in various ways whether it is related to studies or extra curricular activities.
The college provides various facilities such as AC in the classroom and neat and clean computer labs.

Dislikes

The college does not provides internships or skills related programs.
The college's structure is small, so it should be increased.
The college does not supports to the cultural fest in the college which provides various ways to show the students their talents.

Admission:

I have applied for many good College's but due to cap round process admission I got this college.Due to the OBC caste I have got this college as percentile to qualify was low.I want other good colleges but due to my low percentile I have to take admission in this college.

Should I go for VCET ??!!

Likes

Faculty pretty great and supportive. All our helping in nature and for the HOD of Computer Sci she is great too
Student Activity's like Council and other committtees.
Close from the station saves great time.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is always developing so it causes problem
Crowd, as it is from palghar district you can except the crowd from this places.
Placement are not that good as they show.

Admission:

I stay in goregaon and for me travelling in the reverse direction is easier than travelling to other colleges. The timing of the trains and the crowd is also pretty managable. I did apply for various college. KJ Somaiya and Xaviers are the college were I was accepted but according to my comfort I chose this college. As the Fees is also reasonable and the traveling time is also saved, So for me it was a the comfort zone I'd say. And other college I was rejected due to the score was not compitent as they needed it. It takes admission on the basis of CET JEE so the admission process is almost online they do have their institute round on their website for which the result is also given on the website itself.

Review about recent upgrades at VCET

Likes

The girls to boys ratio is 1:3. There are lot of opportunities for girls like scholarships and many intership opportunities exclusive to girls.
Infrastructure is very good as in talking about classroom. From aat every class is getting 2-3 ACs installed.
Placement cell is very effective at least this year since they have been bringing higher package companies compared to last year.

Dislikes

There is shortage of effective faculty. Technical subjects are not the best taught.
Labs are inefficient for newer branches like Artificial Intelligence.
Assignment and experiment are asked to be done but we feel they are very irrelevant to the course.

Admission:

Admission process is smooth at the college. The management is very clear with all the instructions. Eligibility exams are MHTCET and JEE mains and also diploma in related field. I took admission here since placement wise this was the best college I could get. Also it is very close to the station making travel easy to college. Cutoff for my branch is 82 percentile in CET.

An honest review of VCET

Likes

The campus which included facilities like library , canteen and labs.
There is annual sports festival and fest.
There are some faculty who actually try to teach.

Dislikes

There placement is biased they provide good opportunities to selected students like in my batch intern + ppo was provided to 3 students by tpo and rest students were not even given a chance to apply for it.
Placement cordinator and tpo does not chech mail which led to not informing students about interviewslots leading to company not taking interview of those candidates.
They try to steal acheivements of there ex students by displaying there current company and off campus companies also in placement poster but those companies NEVER visited campus.

Admission:

The admission were based on jee mains or mht-cet score. The applications were of both type offline of institution level seats before opening of centralized admission on CAP portal. If you are from any reserved category the cut off does not matter fo any engineering college the country itself is baised against general category.

Dream college for students of palghar.

Likes

There are many of the opportunities available for every students and therefore i liked to easily grab opportunities
Most of our teachers not only have experience about engineering but they also helps us to develop skills required for future
The overall placement opportunities are good in the college.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is good but needs to upgrade.
I think that the college should increase the intake of the students.
College should have an equal boys to girl ratio.

Admission:

Mht cet and jee mains are the two exam through which any student can get admission in it. For the admission one should sit in the counseling done by mht cet cell itself on their website.The website itself provides you with all the required information for example the application form and how to fill it. There are youtube videos for the students on how to fill the forms and also informs how to move forward in the admission process. The mht cet website also provides you the information of the fees for general categories as well as for the reserved categories. Mostly the reserved categories and for female students the application fees is less as compared to for general category students; also there are important dates mentioned earlier on the website. For reserved categories students there are many benefits like for categories like sc,st,ews and obc students can easily get admission at lower percentile and can get offers on their tution fees, tfws category can get 100% of tution fees back

Got the college by giving mhtcet! For admission, there are cap rounds conducted by MHTcet Cell on their website. Yes, there are scholarships available for every category of students like Tfws, ebc, ews etc for the open category. The admission process is short and simple!

Admission:

The cut-off for the course I opted for was very high but because I scored well in cet, So, I got it. The Application form and further details about the college are on the official website of the college. Actually, I am an open candidate so I didn't avail of any benefit but I have filled out the EBC form so I will get some fees back as told by the college.
