It is one of the most premium second tier B-School of India and among the buisness schools in eastern India it comes in top 2-3 names. College accepts CAT, XAT ,NMAT all of the exams and it required to take 80 percentile above.

This college has a very good brand name as it is sister college of MDI Gurgaon. Also this college was near to my hometown which made me choose this college. The fees structure and pedagogy was better than The other colleges i applied for

Infrastructure of mdi Murshidabad is good.
Case based learning is a very effective way of learning
People from all the region are present which makes the learning more diverse.

Dislikes

College is located in a very remote location
Mess food is not that great. Too much usage of oil

Admission:

Admission process for the college was that we had to fill in the form then people were shortlisted from the pool of applicants for the Personal interview round,later the selected candidates were given the offer letter . I choose this college because the fees and brand value compared to the Many other colleges was better for this college.

MDI Murshidabad a Place you can think to come of.

Likes

The environment and the serenity that this college provide is good.
All the staffs that are working in various areas are friendly enough.
There is no any strict rules and people get to enjoy their freedom.

Dislikes

ROI is not considerable as people pay a hefty amount to get less package placements.
The campus is located in a very rural area.
In order to enjoy outside there are very limited places.

My CAT percentile was 75 and in this score this was the best college that I could get having good average and median package. There were other options also like IMI, IBS but due to brand name of MDI, I opted this college.

Likes

Infrastructure is decent, spacious classrooms
Good knowledgeable faculty who have passed from iims
Good amount of amenities and extra activities

Dislikes

Placements could have been better and better roles
Location is a problem as it's situated out of town
Now more accreditations and certifications are happening which is good

Admission:

Eligibility is doing a bachelor's degree and applying it through cat exam. The application can be filled either along with gurgaon or separately. The cutoff is 70+ and there is no reservation. It follows a tri sem pattern.

THE MDIM SAGA

Likes

The brand name MDI stands for the college itself
The fee structure here is very minimal as compared to the same tier colleges
The Placement ROI is one of the best for MDI Murshidabad

Dislikes

The location here is the biggest issue which I have faced
As the college is only 10 years old the alumni base is not that strong
The faculties here are not that par and that much experienced

Admission:

The eligibility of the course was 75 percentile in CAT, The application form can be found on the MDI M website, NO i have not availed reservation benefits, NO i dont want any improvement in the admission process.

i like swimming pool which is inside our campus.
angeethi which is our cafeteria section is very impressive.
faculty of college is quiet good for our curriculam.

Dislikes

i think food quality can be better in mess
small cricket grounnd is not suitable for playing cricket.
wifi is not very good , speed is also very less

for admission you have to apply from college website through cat score. on the basis of your score they will give a personal interview call and if u do well in that then after review your profile you will select for final admission.

Is MDIM Worth the Hype? A No-Nonsense Review

Placement process, Placement culture are the two major backbone for this college.
Course curriculum and it's relevance with the industry.

Dislikes

Location is a major factor for me in the initial times but when we explored the place this place has a lot of potentials in terms of sustainable industries.
More in depth knowledge about domain specific subjects for those who have more interest.

Admission:

The admission process was very smooth. MDI only considers CAT percentile so as per my percentile i.e. 79.45% I got a call from MDIM. My interview was scheduled accordingly. In the interview, they mainly asked about myself, and my interest area ( for me i.e stock market and finance) and they tried to know how much knowledge I had in the same domain then another panelist asked some psychological questions ( like what do you mean by depression, what is anxiety etc.) and some basic questions about my family. Then they added me in the Admission Committee's WhatsApp group. In some days I got a congratulations mail from MDIM along with the joining date. The process was very apt and seamless. In my case, it was online (Zoom) as it was in the time of Corona but I would prefer if the college could take interviews physically to get the nerve of the legacy holders and students also can experience what life is like here at MDIM.

Facilities are good and course is properly aligned
The library is wonderful with and no. of different books
There are many amenities inside the college

Admission:

My interview process was smooth and given an online interview. The eligibility of the course is 80 %ile in CAT. The application form is available on the official website of MDI Murshidabad. There is no such problem in the admission process

Likes

Faculties are very helpful. You can even ask your doubts while they are having their walk in the campus.
Security and environment of the campus is nice.
Far from the noise of the cities situated in the green environment.

Dislikes

Wifi doesn't work properly due to some mishapened last month
We didn't get subscription for any software like Microsoft 365,spss .
There is no cultural diversity in the management staffs members only bengalis are there.

Admission:

It was quite smooth our Admission committee helped us throughout the process. Yes through the Cat entrance exam I got admitted in this college after my CAT exam i filled the form separately for this college from the college website and after fulfilling the criteria and cat cut off i.e approx 75 percentile for this college I got a interview call from this college and converted this college. CAT exam is held once in a year and it's difficulty level is quite high. The college administration should provide more options for the payment of the first installment of fees.
