Know about Salesian College Sonada

Likes

The College campus is beautiful , it's scenary is so overwhelming
The members of Faculty are very experienced and friendly
There are various co curriculum activities held at college levels

Dislikes

The weather is almost foggy half of the year
It is mandatory to wear proper college uniforms
Have to come to college early in the morning by 8:45 am

Placement Experience:

1) There is a Placement Cell in the College Campus. 2) Usually College provides Placement facilities to the final year students of all the Departments as well as to the alumni's 3) Different Private Banks, Private Limited Companies comes to hire freshers from the campus

Siliguri Salesian College review

Likes

As a football player I personally like the football field of the college and the faculty and staff
The faculty and their teaching methods are good.
I am not that much involved in social activities in the college other than football.

Dislikes

The system of opening and closing of the gate has to be improved.
All the block or the departments are good but every class is not provided with ac rooms only some classes are provided
When an event is held in the Kilian Hall fans should be provided during the event as the temperature is unstable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was quite interested in the business field so that was the reason I decided to choose Bcom as my main course.The students should be provided with more realistic view of the business world and how to make a better career through this course and not only be prepared for the exams.The timing of the exams are quite fast according to my perception.

Likes

I like these college because the teaching is good
The college have different events held which helps us to build our confidence
The college surrounding and environments are good and it's very clean

Dislikes

The timing of college is very much noticeable 1 min late can not come to college for classes
The college is closed to dumping yard which makes the Surrounding quiet unhypenic
Every class have ac but our class is without AC

The reason of choosing this course is I am aiming to be at a certain level in a business firm.A position where I don't face any problem regarding financial and makes my own capital for future days and investment

Salesian College , Siliguri Campus Review

Likes

There are lots of opportunities to manage event cause the college conducts many events
The college eco friendly and try to plant and protect plants and tree
The faculty are very good and have good manners to everyone and talk politely

Dislikes

During summer the college don’t allow to wear shorts or quarter pant during summer event
During the event there a strict rule that students need to enter a certain time and if the student dont enter within the time limit they cannot enter the event
Many of the class don’t have ac and during summer it is harder for students to study

I chose the course cause I want to become a bank manager and this course helped me to know the basic information about banking for example accounts, GST, and income tax. After passing 3rd year we can get an intership that provides good placement.

Salesian College, Siliguri

Likes

The first thing I like about the college is it organizes various events and programs.
The college provides us with 5 canteens and the food quality is quite good and reasonable price.
The faculty members are helpful and are friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

When the college organizes freshers or farewell the campus should provide with the financial problem.
The most disliked about college for me is the college gate closes and won't be able to enter even if we are a minute late.
Some classes are provided with ACs and some are not so that is one of the most concerning thing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason behind choosing this course is, that I am aiming for banking and this course will be a lot of help. Subjects such as economics, business mathematics, and many more relating to the banking field. But in some subjects, the teaching method must be done in a practical way rather than teaching us orally or through a projector.

Salesian college bcom review

Likes

The college consist of many events yearly. The main event among all these events is INOVISION which is lasted for two days
The college has a beautiful ground which is maintained by the college and many sports activities are done on it
The college provides cold and normal water in the campus. Which helps the students in summer

Dislikes

The dumping yard is next to the college which leads to pungent smell of garbage
The college gate is closed in 7 20am after that we are not allowed to enter the college.. Even if we are late by minutes
Commerce students are not Receiving the facilities which are received by other block students such as AC ROOMS, Proper toilet,

The campus life was amazing with a number of events happening every now and then

According to me the way of teaching in Salesian College is just perfect, the teachers make PowerPoint presentations, interactive classes and real examples to explain us the concept exactly how it should be, Salesian college has prepared me for the real corporate world I must say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes, the course was quite accurate. The couse was of 3 years where 9 subjects are there in total. Within the 9, 4 subjects where for honors. I was always interested for managing my work and businss administration. This was the reason behind choosing the course. Best for begining your journy as a manager.

Graduating from Salesian College

Admission:

I was studying for my CS foundation exam from 11th standard. I passed it after 12th, so I reckoned it was better for me to choose a course that wouldn't put too much pressure on me. The admision was merit-based, so the process wasn't time-taking.
