Rajkiya Engineering College Azamgarh Faculty

In the past year, all government-affiliated colleges under AKTU, including REC Azamgarh, appointed permanent faculty members through a state recruitment process. These faculty members hail from prestigious institutions such as IITs, NITs, and other reputed universities, possessing considerable teaching experience. Each branch has approximately 10 to 12 faculty members, with a student-to-faculty ratio well maintained due to a controlled intake of 60 students per branch annually. Most faculty members hold B.Tech and M.Tech degrees, and many possess or are pursuing Ph.D.

qualifications. About 90% of the faculty are permanent, and the remainder are on a contract basis. The average age of the faculty is between 35 to 40 years. While the teaching standards are generally high, some issues in the IT department regarding internal exam grading have been noted. The commitment, interactive nature, and supportiveness of the faculty are highly praised, with faculty members often going beyond the syllabus to cover industrial and practical knowledge.

The college also provides facilities like advanced robotic lab equipment and an Entrepreneurship Development Cell to support practical learning and business opportunities.
