The minimum eligibility for admission to M.Plan Town and Country Planning at COEP is Graduation + CEED.

1. The candidate should be an IndianNational;

2. Passed bachelor’s degree in planning/ architecture/ civil engineering OR Passed master’s degree of Geography/ Economics/Social Sciences or equivalent Degree with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section (EWS)and persons with disability category belonging to Maharashtra State only)

3. Obtained nonzero positive score in common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology.

4. Obtained qualified score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Civil Engineering/Architecture and Planning conducted Indian Institute of Technology and valid for the current academic year (2025-26) or Obtained Nonzeropositive marks in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Civil Engineering /Architecture and Planning conducted by Indian Institute of Technology for the current academic year 2025. However, preference shall be given to CEED appeared candidate over the GATE appeared candidate. GATE or CEED qualified candidates shall have preference over the non-qualified candidates.
