Lady Brabourne College is one of the premium colleges in kolkata. It is one of the most affordable colleges in Kolkata as it is government-aided. it has a transparent fee structure. The fee structure depends on the course and the department. for instance, if someone is admission in English course or History their per semester fees will be Rs 3,350 per semester and Rs 3000/- admission fee. Overall fees range from 4000/- to 5000/- depending on course and departments. The fee also includes tuition fees, development fees, lab fee,s and compulsory charges. For scholarships and financial aid - Government merit scholarships for both national and state-level meritorious students. Swami Vivekananda merit cum Means scholarship scheme- for those meritorious students whose family income is below 12000/- Kanya Shree Proklapa of west Bengal to empower girls' education. Lady Brabourne is is most premium college and isthe dream college for many students.

Everything you need to know before taking admission in Lady Brabourne College

The yearly fees for the year 2024 for BA Hons English (or any ba course) is 3081. During registration no extra fees was taken due to this year's centralized admission system. During admission the yearly fee is being charged only. Since BA Hons has no labs and practical( geography might be an exception) no extra fees is being charged apart from the yearly fee. There is no category based fees. Everyone pays the same amount of fees for the concerned course. As per my knowledge there is no college based scholarship. You can always opt for government scholarships. One might get some amount after graduation in case they are meritorious student.

There is only a tuition fees for non hosteller, which varies depending on stream, practical based subject have 4100 on admission, while other Arts subject have 2360 overall. In some semester the fees is 2360 for science subjects as well depends on the type of subjects and practical. There is scholarship available for low income and good merit students from the college. The fees is same for all quota, SC ST general, Obc A B, and hostel fees is 2100/ 6 months.

Lady Brabourne College in a nutshell

Per Semester is ?3350 for English department. We don't pay yearly. During admission a minimal charge of around ?3k is taken. For science departments the fees are more due to lab charges and more. There are a lot of scholarships provided like Kanyashree but for those you have to be eligible under certain conditions.

Bsc microbiology course fees in Lady brabourne college is pretty affordable. The admission fee ranges between 4000-5000 & exam fees of nearly 1000 is taken by the university per semester. Students can get inspire kanyasree aikyasree nsp & svmcm scholarships while studying this course. Stipends are not available during bsc course but in msc some universities provide stipend.

A student should expect a fee of 4000 per semester(6 months). For those students who belong to an economically backward class or who are in a financially unstable or weak condition, they can expect a scholarship from the college. The Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is also given to the students who are eligible. They can seek assistance from the college for so.

Experience at Kolkata's prestigious Lady Brabourne College

The fees for each semester kept varying but it was between the range of 2000-4000. They had very low fees because it is a government-run college. The infrastructure may not be great in comparison to private colleges but it is very decent. At my time, many students got scholarships and financial assistance from the college.
