Everything you need to know before taking admission in Lady Brabourne College

Dislikes

The college hostel timings could be a little more liberating.
The Nescafe canteen (we have 4 canteens) charged me for an extra spoon.

Hostel Facilities:

The hostel room consists of single bed, a locker and a table and a chair. For first years it's dormitory room. Second year onwards it's double sharing rooms. The meal is both non veg and veg friendly. The quality is up to mark. Proteins are added adequately. 2 meals and 2 snacks are provided during the entire day. One can register for the college hostel once they notify on their college website. Only the distance from their hometown and caste is required.

Student Snaps:

A student can avail their hostel rooms if they are eligible(distance) by contacting the college staff or the teachers. There are 2 types of rooms available. One is dormitory(sharing), and another is personal. The quality of the hostel food is average. Breakfast Lunch and dinner are all available. The rooms are also average and at walking distance from the college.

No I haven't opted for hostel as it required some strict rules and regulations to follow. If sou take external additional coaching on your subject then it would be hard to for you to maintain the rules. l hostel seats were moderate. Shared by upto 8 students in big rooms in 1st year, double sharing on 2 year, and single sharing in 3rd year according to your wish. There were no pg accommodation provided by the college, there were some independent rentals available outside college area.

I didn't opted for hostel but many of my friends stay in the hostel which is just opposite to the college. They are provided with separate rooms and the fee is also very minimal 2000 p.m. The Food quality is not so bad also. The environment of hostel is very good and clean.

Lady Brabourne College: Is it worth it?

There are a few programs held every year. 1. Cultural Festival: lot of competitions are held and people take part in it. 2. Reunion: alumni and current students and the professors meet up 3.Annual Program: prize distribution for cultural program and other events are held. 4.Annual Sports Competition: every year in December. 5.College Fest: two day fest, where one day is inter college competition, and the other day is open to all, and a band comes to perform. 6.Marathon Library is good, but geography books are not that available. Some classrooms and depts have AC, and most do not. There is no student clubs or groups.

In December fest is held. Besides many seminars, awareness campaign , annual spottscultural programme are also organised . There are gym , basketball coat, badminton coat, indoor games like carrom in the campus. There are art and cultural group in the college.

My college experience in LBC

Fest freshers & various other programmes are organised throughout the year in Lady brabourne college. A wide range of books are available along with an internet surfing area. E- library is also there. Books on various competitive exams is also accessible. Daily newspaper and journals are also available at free of cost. The campus is very eco friendly. Each year annual sports and annual function is organised. Students take part in NSS & NCC.

I think the college hostel is too strict though I am not a hostellite
Sometimes,the food is not up to the mark

The atmosphere inside the campus is very friendly. The campus is very eco friendly and full of greenery. I come to make new friends almost every day. People are enthusiastic about co curricular activities and the teamwork we share among each other is priceless. We almost attend every fests to which we are invited. We absolutely love doing that.
