Candidate should have pass in BLISc/PGD in Library Science from recognized University or equivalent.

Osmania University also offers MA, M.Com, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, MSW, M.Li.Sc & LL.M courses in various disciplines at PG level. Admission is offered on the basis of candidate’s performance in OUCET. OUCET is a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Application form can be filled online on payment of INR 700 (INR 575 for SC/ST/PH) by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking. Candidates have to pay an additional amount of INR 400 in order to apply for another subject.

Osmania University Conducts OUCET, to offer admission in MA. M.Com, M.Sc, M.Ed & M.P.Ed courses The admissions to the above-mentioned courses are based on the common entrance test conducted by Osmania University. For all the courses except M.P.Ed., the test will have 100 MCQs of 1 mark each.

For M.P.Ed., there will be 75 MCQs of 1 mark each. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded by the Department of Physical education as per the performance of the candidate in the sports test.

For M.Sc., the test will have questions on Chemistry (40 marks), and an optional subject from Physics, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology of 60 marks.

User Fact 1: Admission of a candidate into the same course which he/she has already completed either through Regular or distance mode from any recognized university is not allowed. Same provision is applicable for different specializations also.

User Fact 2: Students looking for admission under NCC, NSS, Sports, Teacher & Laboratory Assistant categories, have to download the proforma & get it verified by the competent authority.

How to Apply for OUCET?

Candidates seeking admission to M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, MCJ, BLISc, MLISc, MSW, M.Ed, M.P.Ed degree programs have to appear for OUCET to register for the same, they must follow the given steps- 

1. Visit the official website of the University.
2. Click on “Apply Online OUCET”.
3. Open the application form.
4. Fill the application form by filling the correct details. 
5. The registration fees for a single subject for a general category student is INR 400 and for SC/ST it is INR 350.
6. The candidate can make the payment for the online registration at TS online centres or through payment gateway – Debit/Credit/Net Banking. 
7. Click on “Submit” and your registration is done.
