There are no hostel facilities available in college. You can however find hostels and PG's dotted within 5 Kms around the college.
Rent can burn a hole in your pocket if you choose to go PG but you enjoy the freedom of sightseeing the city or getting your friends along for group studies(never works).
A hostel is a very pocket-friendly option with canteen and laundry facilities available, minus the freedom part.
Xavier's canteen is well known for its varieties and reasonable rates, so food in college hours are covered.
Hostel fees are 7-12 thousand/month including breakfast and dinner.
PG is 18-30 thousand/month plus the electricity and maintenance costs.
Especially, the hostel is awesome. I think our college has the best hostel among all XIMR. Hostel rooms were offered on a single occupancy basis and we never had any issues regarding the accommodation. Hostels are basically allocated on a first come first serve basis. We literally enjoyed every moment of our stays like the late-night study groups and the pranks pulled on our fellow batchmates.
Hostel facility is also available for select candidates. Hostel rooms were pretty much affordable and hygienic. The facilities provided in the hostel rooms included a relaxing room with indoor games like carrom and TT. The mess food was also good.
Campus was good. College ground was good and big. Good building with AC classrooms & few small halls. There was enormous opportunity for students interested in extra curricular activities.
Labs and all stuff is awesome as per me in Mumbai there whatsoever college they equipment's like these campus full of public. Faculty of lab is different we have all the facility to complete the task in our way.
Open air spaces are available for case/assignment discussions after class. This is meant to enhance peer-to-peer learning in natural surroundings. Campus life and extra curricular activities helped in building the growth of candidates. There were many sports activities and tournament organised at regular intervals and debates were organised as well to increase communication of all the candidates.
Students are challenged to reflect on the consequences of various situations and weave diverse points of view into a coherent understanding of the subject. It is always interactive. The XIMR method of teaching is rooted in active, participative learning.
The Institute has fully equipped air conditioned lecture halls with a mini theater design that facilitates case discussions. The subject develops and is debated over the course of the discussion. Good facilities are provided by the college.
XIMR has subscribed to the world's leading on-line databases like EBSCO, Pro Quest, Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) & CMIE Prowess that provides access to thousands of journals with archives. The learning centre is also equipped to provide Internet access to students
Camus has Conference and Discussion Rooms and all conference rooms are provided with the latest equipment & facilities. Discussion rooms are provided for team work & Case Discussions. The Institute has a well stocked learning center to provide extensive literature on all aspects of Management.
