Velammal - The best college.

Likes

College atmosphere was very electric and fun.
Plenty of placement opportunities even for core companies.

Dislikes

We were the first batch of civil engineers.

Placement Experience:

Good placement opportunities. We had lot of IT companies for placement. Also had core companies like glasdoor, deloitee and other companies. Most of the students who were eligible for placement got placed in the company.

Likes

The campus is neat and pleasant with lot of lab facilities
All the faculties were best in teaching also they made us comfortable to speak with them about all the things what we feel
Apart from studies there were lot of activities to improve our skills which is a good thing for our future

Dislikes

There were not a single cultural event or celebration
The canteen in the campus need to be improved especially in providing afternoon lunch
The teaching method of few faculties need to be improved

My college has lot of internship opportunities for students with lot of companies. I'm a first year student and I hope I will have a lot of internship, also we were planning for lot projects and we participating in more hacathon to improve our skills. Our department faculties were good with the projects and I hope they will help me with lot projects which is useful for my placement

Placement opportunities are higher.Reputated companies like zoho,hcl,infosys,accenture have come for the placement.

Dislikes

Except for placements this college is worse
Highly not recommended if applicant pursues to reach higher goals

By the end of 6th semester(3rdyr) students are eligible to attend campus interviews.Companies like Zoho,tcs,hcl, accenture have visited.Zoho made 3 offers.The other companies hire the best applicants.The percentage of placement is 90%. Highest package is 20lpa. Average package is 4-5lpa.Zoho package of 9.5lpa this year. My plan is to get placed in Zoho.

Good and friendly staffs, attitude towards students was very descent
Very experienced staffs hence teaching was very understandable

Dislikes

Not a very good college atmosphere. Students feel it like a school.
Good to improve English communication within the premises and also between students and staffs

Internships Opportunities:

All types of companies came for the placement drive. Some companies came to madurai campus itself while for other organisations we had to travel from madurai to Chennai to attend various placement drives. It was a good experience with friends, preparing for the interviews.

Likes

I love the atmosphere of the college it's very pleasant and peaceful
I love the way faculties coordinate with the students they maintain cordial relationship
I like the academic learning process and smart class methodology.

Dislikes

Canteen can be more spacious. Food items can be improvised.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship program starts in 3rd sem (i.e. 2nd yr ) By the end of each semester you have to attend an internship and get certified and a detailed report has to be submitted. There will be mini-project hours through which you can get ideas for your final-year projects.

In 6 semesters students are eligible to attend placements. More than 100+ companies visited such as Vibro, TCS, forum, etc... the average package is 3 lakhs and highest package is 9 lakhs.90% of students can place in every year.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship opportunities start from Semester 5, there is a lot of companies offering a stipend of around 12K visits to the campus. It's all in our hands of how to use it. If we are good enough and utilise all the placement opportunities and training available, life at Velammal can be better than any other college available.

Future of velammalians are written good by our college

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students who have no arrears and cgpa of 7.5 are eligible for placement.Our college passed out students have been placed in companies like TCS,Wipro,Zoho,Amazon and Average salary will be about 20k for a month.

BEST REVIEW FOR VELAMMAL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY MADURAI

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester the placement cell with start training for the placements. Many companies will come and offer. Day 0 companies will be Zoho, amazon and so on. Day 1 will be Infosys, cts, TCS, Wipro and so on. Other than arrear students and not interested in placement all will be selected in certain companies. There are many other options after degree like, higher studues IAS IPS and so on, it belongs on one interest.

yes internship is available, a lot of companies are offered for intership with stipend like zoho etc.. but some company are get paid to get tha intership and alumi who have their own industries also provide internship
