Valliammai Engineering College is well-regarded for its supportive and approachable faculty who are instrumental in achieving a high placement rate, between 70% to 90%. The college has a strong academic structure with two continuous assessment tests and two semester exams each year. Students become eligible for placements from the 3rd year, 2nd semester, with around 90 companies visiting annually, including major firms like Accenture, TCS, and Infosys. The average placement packages range from 1 LPA to 11 LPA, with higher offers for students maintaining a CGPA of 9 or above.

Internships are not provided by the college, but faculty support is available for projects. The annual fee is 1.6 lakh INR for management quota students and approximately 80,000 INR for government quota students, excluding additional costs for food and transportation, which is about 60,000 INR. Scholarships are available in line with government schemes and for students affected by the Thane cyclone, children of staff members, sports talents, lower-income families, and SC students.

For BTech courses, fees range from 87,000 to 88,000 INR and 90,000 to 92,000 INR for BE courses, with tuition fees at 72,000 INR, and the rest for exam, admission, development, and lab fees.
