The college offers a highly affordable education with annual fees of 4,000 to 5,850 rupees, which is significantly lower than many other colleges in Kolkata. Faculty members, many of whom are alumni, are well-qualified and dedicated to student development. The college provides financial aid through scholarships like the Kanyashree program and fee concessions for low-income families, including free course books. Calcutta University supports students with additional financial schemes like the Vivekananda and Bishwa Bangla Chatra Seva scholarships.
Placement opportunities are available mainly to final-year students and graduates, with top recruiters including Amazon, ICICI Bank, and TCS. Approximately 20% of students secure jobs, with the highest salary package reported at 8 lakhs per annum and the lowest at 3.7 lakhs per annum. From 2012 to 2018, over 2,400 students have participated in placements, with more than 2,000 successfully placed. BCOM students have higher placement success, and 75-80% of economics students find roles as analysts, consultants, and sales professionals.
