Admission:

I appeared for the CAT exam and secured a 99.3 percentile score. I received a profile based interview call as the institute liked my profile. I cleared an aptitude test and 2 rounds of group interviews to finally receive an admit. Factors to choose the institute were ranking of institute, reputation, faculty, placement stats, alumni base, location etc

I couldn't find better b-school that this. Faculty ensure that whatever be the diversity of students comes in, the output/quality of student going out after rigorous churning is same and should remain best when ganged on any scale. Students are made socially responsible and receptive towards needs of society.

SPJIMR: 2 Answered Questions

What is your review of S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR)?

Dhrishti Tuli
Ishan AnaokarStudied at S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR)

SP Jain is a very good institution of Management yet it lacks the necessary popularity. It is not hyped like the IIMs but this does not mean it is any less than the top B Schools. In fact, there are many aspects that distinguish it from others in the family. The primary points of distinction are

  • It has completely different criteria for admission wherein emphasis is given not only to grades but also to the individual’s personality. This is assessed by the firms the students submit answering various questions asked by the college.
  • The batch is extremely vibrant and diverse comprising engineers, commerce graduates, and art graduates
  • They give considerable weightage to work experience which is often ignored by other B Schools
  • It has many international student exchange programs which open doors to new learning experiences and opportunities
  • It stresses on value-based education. This means grades are important but not to the point that a student is merely surviving to score high and learns nothing.
  • The faculty is extremely capable with a necessary mix of professors with theoretical and industry experts.

So SP Jain offers many areas of development and helps you grow as a human.

5 years down the line which will benefit you better, SP Jain or JBIMS?

Girish Singh
SagardeepStudied at Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi (Graduated 2021)

Both SP Jain and JBIMS are highly reputable, but objectively speaking, SPJIMR should be the preferred choice between the two. Its selection process is highly unique, based on profile and fit, and extremely thorough. The school thoroughly evaluates if a candidate matches its culture and academic standards. It is recommended to visit the SPJIMR campus for the interviews. The social integration through the DOCC and Project Abhudaya programs helps to produce well-rounded leaders. Placements at SPJIMR are also noteworthy, so be sure to review their placement reports.

In conclusion, if you do not have experience with A, B, C, L, FMS, and XL, then SPJIMR is the ideal campus for pursuing an MBA.
