My experience at SCMS

Likes

The infrastructure, i really like the infrastructure of the campus.
The faculty, the quality of faculty teaching skill was so positive.
Overall experience is so good and we would love it

Dislikes

There is no ground for games. Thats a problem
Some securities are waste, they are changing it
There is no bus service for students and thats a problem for long distance student

Placement Experience:

For my course the student are eligible for campus placement when they hit 8th semester. From the 8th semester onwards they provide placement trainings, mock interviews and all. The chances are high to get placements

Scms Shaping the future of students

Likes

The faculty is the college is very supportive . Whenever we inquire any problem they are right by our side and guide as so much
The department conducts various add on courses during each year which really helps us to get updated on the current trends .rather than studying what is there in the syllabus they focus on updating us with the latest technology as well
Various talks and programmes as organised in the college to bridge the gap between what company wants and what skills we as a student lacks .Talks are conducted by various professional who are currently in a reputed position at various companies

Dislikes

Comparing with other colleges , our college is focused only on academic side ,even thought they conduct activities participating in the activities is only motivated by some .It is more of a academic motivated campus .
The fees is more compared to others as well for each programs conducted by college we had to pay extra money
They campus is very less and is very strict as well .We are trained to be in a professional manner which is a very good thing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The IMCA curriculum has pros and cons .The updated syllabus is quite good we have papers like AI , data science which is the overall trend now but it may change .it also has may courses which is of no current relevance now as it has been replaced so in a nutsell it is a mix of new technology as well as unwanted old technology papers as well

The campus was good apart from that everything was okay.

Dislikes

There is a lack of placement activities at the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Corse carriculam was quite okay. The teaching is according to the up to date syllabus and i found it okay. The timing of the exam was not in sequence with the syllabus most probably exam will come after three or four months after completing the syllabus.

The college is equipped with all basic Infrastructure and they are well maintained.
The college have developed technologically very well throughout the years. They tend to take good efforts to make the campus more welcoming.
The management is actually bit strict. But the facultys aren't that bad they are very friendly and available for you all the time.

Dislikes

If youre someone looking for a cool college then i am afraid youre not at the right place.
Another thing you have to keep in mind is the attendance. If you want to survive here you better have 75% or more attendance
Here in SCMS, there is specific uniform code for every students. They are very strict about that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is on to point. It good mostly evrything for an bachelor computer application degree. Could realy add something more but still what they got is actually good. The college follows the syllabus given by the Mahatma gandhi University in Kottayam. The university does provide a decent syllabus that do cover most the neccessary basics related my course.

BCA syllubus subjects are very hard to learn. Teaching style is very poor compared to other colleges. There are no entertaintment activites provided in the college. The curriculum is below par. Teachers are not that supportive

The curriculum for bca was below par.We were taught olden syllabus and It lacked effectiveness. The exam timings were not in time with the semesters being taught. the curriculum also included subjects which was relevant to today's IT infrastructure

Campus Life Was Extraordinary the helps in motivating students to study in a stress free evironment
fest sports arts were upto the level and it is a refreshment for the students

Dislikes

the campus location is somewhat difficult
the campus infrastructure is not upto the level but still offers a good study environment

Placement Experience:

from the 8th semester onwards, Infosys ibm wipro cognizant, and 8 offers have been made. the highest was 5lakhs per annum and the company offered this package is icici bank. 90 percent of students are getting placements. get a job and work.

I like teaching method, campus,there facilities
I like the canteen,hostel ,lot of security to protect us...
There main vision is build us as a human being

Dislikes

Campus is too short,fest are less in there
Every time we should study it give us pressure
We get only few days for vaccation......

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester onwards students are eligible for placement and interviews. Company asking 75 percent of the mark to take in a company. I'm interested in software development so I'm moving to that after completing this course. It has many opportunities.
