It is affiliated to the University of Madras and recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC), The principal of the college is Dr. Mrs.V.lily and also a number of scholarship programs are 10 per semester.

Admissions for Bharathi Women\'s College will be through Madras University Counseling. Only female candidates can opt for this college. Rank list will be released by the Madras University according to the applicant\'s score in the qualifying examinations. During the counseling process, choose "Bharathi Women\'s College" and choose a course in this college which has vacant seats. Once the admission process is complete, bring the admission form to the college to finalize admission. I select this course over other pg degrees because I am good at maths than other subjects and i found maths interesting. This degree also opens many job opportunities in different sectors for me. I got admission in this course on the basis of my bachelor's degree with science stream from a recognized university followed by counselling process and documentation.
