The college provides an internship with NGO after the first year and an internship with a corporate after the second year. There is generally no stipend to work with NGO. These internships provide a real world experience to the students.
Internship opportunities are mainly provided during or post the 2nd year. These opportunities are provided by the college also through various clubs but the students are free to look for internships on their own.
The majority of the internships are availed by searching outside the college by actually visiting the companies, and all sorts of roles are offered to depend upon the interests of the students. The tasks could be designing graphics for marketing purposes, content writing, researching the internet and making databases, etc.
Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester onwards. There were many big companies like Zomato, Protiviti, Accenture, D.E. Shaw, etc offering placements to the students. The highest package we received this year was from D.E. Shaw - 18,00,000/- PA.
I'm a second year and these facilities start from the 3rd year however internship opportunities are provided by clubs.
Since this college is a newly established one, there are not many reputed companies that hold their campus recruitments here. But still, the companies which offer jobs provide a reasonably good starting package. Apart from this, the students are also encouraged to start their own businesses. There are quite a few students who have been successful in that.
Placements are quite good as comared to other colleges in india, the average placement goes around Rs 5 Lacs and various companies-Indians as well as Multi-Nationals visit d campus each year. The focus of those recruiters is more on the attitude and skills of the child and not more towards his grades, hence it becomes of utmost importance for a child to participate in various college fests and clubs for that matter.
Haven't experienced it yet. But i've heard mixed reviews about it so I'm not quite sure. The companies that come in are good.
Company visiting PG are hood but at ug level not much of placement is happening as Advertised. Average salary are also far less than being advertised by the university There are many startups which are successful and entrepreneurs cell is great in identifying them and helping
Our college is renowned for its placements, as it attracts a number of big companies, with fairly good packages. Last year 2 students got a 19lakh package from the same company- DE Shaw. Startups such as chaayos have been created by nmims alumnis.
