Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce was established in the year 2007, located in Mumbai. It is an undergraduate school offering BBA, BBA (Fintech), B.Com and B.Sc courses. Under PG domain, ASMSOC only offers M.Sc in Finance stream.
Admission for the undergraduate program is done on the basis of merit. This merit evaluation is done on the basis of NMIMS-NPAT scores, a test conducted by NMIMS. ASMSOC UG Eligibility Criteria
- The basic eligibility for the UG programs is completion of 10+2 level of education with 60% minimum aggregate marks. Candidates appearing for the 12th examination can also apply for the program provided they must have their results while taking admission.
- The ones opting for B.Sc (Finance) must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as subjects in their 12th standard.
- BBA applicants must have had Mathematics/Statistics as a subject during 12th standard. Age limit is a maximum of 25 years.
- Candidates must also have a valid NMIMS-NPAT score to be eligible for admission into various courses.
ASMSOC UG Selection Criteria
- Shortlisting for the UG programs are done on the basis of NMIMS-NPAT scores.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round over email/Call.
- Performance during the interview round and past academic records will be considered for creating the merit list for the candidates.
- Candidates in the merit list need to complete the admission fee payment and confirm their seat acceptance.
ASMSOC PG Admission 2024
ASMSC offers Postgraduate courses as Masters in Science with Finance stream for two years in a full time mode. The basic eligibility for the course is completion of graduation in any discipline, but with Mathematics and Statistics.
Candidates in their respective final year of the qualifying degree can also apply provided they are prepared with the relevant documents supporting the degree.
ASMSOC PG Selection Criteria
- Selection for the program will be done on the basis of merit. The graduation marks will be considered for shortlisting of the candidates for the interview.
- The interview shall be held at the institute and based on the individual performance, a merit list of selected candidates will be made available at the website/institute notice board.
- Candidates will be intimated regarding their selection status over email/SMS and they have to complete the admission procedure within the next given schedule of time.
How to Apply for ASMSOC Mumbai?
- Click on the ‘Register’ button to start the registration process of the course.
- Enter the details, fill the registration form and then click on ‘Register’.
- An email containing the user ID and Password will be sent to the candidate. Re login using the same and start filling the application form.
- Enter personal, academic, professional details
- Upload the documents along with passport sized photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fee online of INR 1800.
- Review the application form and click on Save and Continue.
- Once all the information is updated, click on submit and submit the application form.
- Retain a hard copy print of the application form for future reference.

Ans. A Candidate must have completed a graduation degree in any discipline. But for this course, he/she must have an interest in Finance and Marketing related fields.
Ques. Does the campus of ASMSOC have wi-fi connectivity?
Ans. Yes, the entire campus has 24*7 Wi-fi facility, both in the classroom and dorm areas.
Ques. How is the infrastructure at the academic building of the college?
Ans. ASMSOC has 26 classrooms for both UG and PG courses with 2 computer centres, 1 spacious library and 1 reading room.
Ques. Are there hostels available for both boys and girls?
Ans. Yes, Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls. It includes two full fledged hostels and three rented residential accommodations in Mumbai, separately for boys and girls. The seat filling for the hostels is done on a first come first serve basis. The preference shall be given more to students from outside of Mumbai. Students are required to submit the hostel application form and hostel fee along with all necessary documents. Hostel allotment list is provided on our website 3 days before the start of classes.

I've applied to colleges like Christ University, Symbiosis and IIM Indore. Unfortunately, I could'nt get into IIM and about Christ and Symbi, I did'nt got call from central campus. So the core reason choosing NMIMS was that I got into central campus which is in Bombay, the financial capital of India. Mumbai has broaden my perspective regarding various aspects. During my admission process, I reralised one thing that all you need is confidence while appearing for the interview. For NMIMS, one needs to clear NPAT, where 2 retakes can be given and based on the merit of NPAT, you'll get the admission in whichever campus applied for. NPAT is a 120 mark exam with no negative marking and the ideal score for NPAT would be approximately 70/120.

I applied to IIM indore for ipmat other than NMIMS mumbai, as it is the best choice for a commerce student after 12th as it provides bba+mba, although I couldn't get through due to sectional cutoff. I also gave examination for CUET in which I had scored good and could have got north campus of DU although I only gave the exam to check the level of the exam, I had no intentions of taking admission in DU as I dont like the crowd of Delhi and specifically DU. Crowd is one of the important factors for me in pursuing bachelors degree, not that important when I go for masters, and that is the reason I came to NMIMS Mumbai

I applied to this college because of the location it is situated in the prime location of Mumbai which is a vile parle and the job opportunities are very good in Mumbai you can easily get an internship in Mumbai compared to other cities. Other than NMIMS(ASMSOC) I applied for Symbiosis Pune I got selected however the crowd and the opportunities were lacking at that university as well as I used for LPU and was rejected because of the unsafe location. I tried for Woxsen Hydrabad but got denied because I was not well prepared and the college seemed fake with too many good advertisements. Now coming to the procedure to get into ASMSOC first you will have to take the NPAT exam here you get three attempts and the merit rank can range up to 1 to 2500 for your selection the exam is quite tough and the eligibility criteria is 60% in boards.

I had applied to SSE for economics hons as well but chose NMIMS as I had heard it is better for placements and overall from my seniors I had heard it's a better college to be a part of. I did not get rejected from other colleges other than Ashoka. NMIMS conducts NPAT entrance exam for admission. It doesn't take into account boards marks.

You have to write an entrance test- Npat for taking admission in bsc finance. I personally chose this course because I was deeply passionate about finance and wanted to pursue a career in it.
I am also pursuing CFA so therefore bsc finance was the best option for me.

The admission process was based on an entrance exam called NPAT which included logical reasoning, quantitative mathematics and english skills. The difficulty level is moderate. The application form was available in the college website itself and the eligibility of the course was 60% in class 12 board examinations. The application fees is Rs 2000. The admission on the basis of entrance exam is based on merit ranking. The frequency and timings of the exam was quite flexible as there were many exam centres near my location offering to conduct the exam.

I am currently in the 2nd year of my BBA degree at ASMOC NMIMS University, Mumbai. I applied to 3 universities last year ASMSOC NMIMS, Symbiosis and Christ for a BBA degree. I got selected in NMIMS which was my first preference. My NPAT rank was 1112, and we were required to pay the fees in 10 to 15 days. There was no interview around here like most of the other universities. The fees charged was Rs 302000 which is different for every year and there was no consideration given to the COVID-19 and we were charged such an exorbitant amount despite everything being conducted online. The faculty is excellent. The subjects, course outlines and everything are very good compared to other colleges. There are also a lot of clubs one can join.

I had applied to DU, Christ Bangalore, NIIT, NMIMS Mumbai, the reason for not attending is that I came to a conclusion that NMIMS was overall better for the course I'm applying as it is a prestigious B-School. The admission process for my course consisted of an entrance exam, previous academic performance and some colleges had GD/PI as their final stage too. Minimum makes varied from college to college, but the minimum age was pretty similar, ranging between 16-17 years. The admission process at NMIMS was pretty tough as the exam itself is one of the hardest.

The college is one of the premier institutes in the country and the thing that attracted me the most was the excellent NAAC ratings and the fantastic growth opportunities it had to offer. I researched the syllabus and found out to be very in-depth and to the point. After talking to some alumni and to some students studying there, I got a very good review and mostly positive response about the culture there. Also attractive was the city it is based in - Mumbai.
