The faculty of SFIT is the best. The faculty of the established branches like Computer, IT, etc is very good. They are always ready to help and approachable. The faculty of the newly started branches like Mechanical and electrical are also good. I am from Mechanical and I can proudly say that the Mechanical H.O.D and all the teachers are the best. They not only teach and solve our doubts but they even provide a variety of study materials. They start teaching from the basics. The Mechanical labs too are great and well developed. There are weekly exams ( tutorial tests), then there are IAT's ( unit tests ), vivas, and lastly final end semester exams. If your understanding of the subject is good then there will be no difficulty in scoring well in these exams.
Mechanical Engineering because it helps me to sharpen my skills in the design, research, and manufacturing of equipment, aircraft, and other vehicles. It also hones my analytical and logical thinking skills. All teachers give their 100% to teach their students. That takes extra tutorial batch-wise to understand that all the student got to know the concept or not. As student intake is 66. All the are qualified in their field. The teaching method is also good. About exam the take 2 unit tests and 1 final exam. Before the exam, they take module base exam to know that how much the concept is understood by the students.
The faculty are very supportive no doubt they will help you at there level to get into an internship and get the experience, we had planned atleast 1-2 industrial visit in semester and that were awesome experience some of the company we visited were indian oil corporation in wadala , ICE in vasai and one of the plant in palghar.
I wanted mechanical engineering because I had an interest in vintages. The mechanical branch is called the mother as they say. We learn topics relevant to mechanical subjects and also we are exposed to computers we were taught DBMS-SQL, C-Programming also we had a compulsory course on Python called PYcode. Teachers in SFIT are awesome and they are always very punctual. Topics completion, extra information, and interaction are always at peek here. Besides academics, we got many cultural and technical committees where one can be a member and participate fully.
