The fee of the college is 1,13,260 which itself is a little less expensive as compared to other colleges in Mumbai. The faculty over there also try to find scholarships for the students. They themselves make the students aware of the various goverment as well as private scholarships. Recently they conducted a survey about scholarships from the students of all years and departments. The placement ratio of SFIT is great. The CS , IT , EXTC students always get placed with good enough salaries. This year saw the placement of the students from the newly started Mechanical and electrical branches. They were placed in good software companies also the interviews for core companies are still going on. The college trains Mechanical students in such a way that they are also capable of cracking software interviews.
A few days after schools, colleges in the state were closed owing to Covid-19 and the resultant lockdown in march, classes moved online. With many parents losing Jobs, facing salary cuts and financial pressure, requests to grant concessions on fee payments started pouring in. But now it's 1 year since the classes are online, but still, the fee reduction is not there they are taking full fees from every student.
The current fees for my program are roughly 1,08,000 and every year the fees are hiked for new admittance to the college. I did not avail myself of any scholarship or attained any financial assistance. I did not completely graduate and still waiting to complete my graduation to apply for a job.
Fees are similar to other colleges around 1 lakh and 7 thousand, but you can go for a scholarship like EBC where you will get your many backs up to 50% so, that is the relaxation you can get from that scholarship. Try to get through tfws as it can cut down your fees marginal well.
Initially, fees were as prescribed but when the pandemic hit the world and most of the institutes were closed (ours too) the fee was still the same for the 2 years. This was the only regret I had and every student out there of my batch.
