Ques. Does the college help with off-campus placements?
Ans. SSGMCE, Shegaon, is actively involved in facilitating off-campus placements for the students. The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell of the college works along with the faculties and staff to arrange and conduct off-campus recruitment drives at other colleges. They help the students in procuring required permissions, transportation arrangements, and make sure that the students are eligible for these placements. The T&P Cell also acts as a link between the firms and the students to communicate off-campus job vacancies and guide them during the application process.
Ques. Are there core company placements for Mechanical and Electrical students?
Ans. SSGMCE, Shegaon, provides core company placement to its Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students. Colleges provides Training and Placement Cell organises recruitment drives with popular companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Power, Bosch, ABB, and Adani Power. These companies have provided design, manufacturing, maintenance, and power system jobs. These popular companies provide placement packages that have gone as high as INR 9 LPA, with an average of between INR 4 and INR 5 LPA. The college also gives pre-placement training in the form of aptitude tests, technical skill training, and soft skill improvement to get students ready for the same. Though placements may fluctuate on an annual basis depending on market conditions, SSGMCE has an excellent record of getting its students core engineering jobs.

Ans. SSGMCE internships are viewed as a part of the process of student growth, exposing students to industry and practical exposure. The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell actively promotes both summer and winter internships through industry association and organisation tie-ups during academic breaks so that students can have practical exposure. These internships are usually in the nature of on-site industry training, short-term from one to two months, with companies such as Adani Dahanu Power Station and even national R&D institutions like DRDO in Nashik, where some students have been shortlisted.
