SSGMCE Admission 2025 FAQs
Ques. Is there a management quota at SSGMCE?
Ans. SSGMCE does provide admissions under a management/institute-level quota. That is, approximately 20% of the seats available in each engineering and MBA course are kept aside for such admissions, excluding the normal CAP counselling process. Such seats still call for merit-based admission through state-level examinations like MHT-CET, JEE Main, or MAH–MBA CET, followed by open institute-level counselling. Precisely, the college clearly mentions that there are no capitation charges, and admissions are carried out as per government norms, so you won't accidentally get ensnared in any unofficial middleman schemes. For advice and application, you can communicate directly with the admissions office; according to a student, the procedure usually involves filling out an institute-level form and making an appearance on campus to complete the formalities.
Ques. Does SSGMCE accept out-of-state students?
Ans. SSGMCE also admits out‑of‑state students for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Non‑Maharashtra students are admitted through the Centralised Admission Process with valid scores from tests such as JEE Main or MHT‑CET. Out-of-state applicants need to provide a Migration Certificate and pay a small migration fee (approximately INR 1,620) while admitting.
Ques. Are reservations applicable during admission?
Ans. Reservations are in force at SSGMCE at admissions, and candidates who come under categories like OBC/SBC/NT/VJ-EWS, SC/ST, EWS, and TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) need to produce the respective certificates, caste, caste validity, non-creamy layer, and income certificates up to March 31 of the admission year. The reserved category facilities, such as reduced tuition fees or fee exemptions, are there, but only when the certificates are given during the CAP counselling admission.
