What extracurricular activities are available at SSGMCE?

SSGMCE provides various extracurricular activities for their students. The college arranges different cultural, technical, and sports activities during the course of the academic year. Students have the option to participate in yearly festivals such as Abhiyanta (technical fest) and Spandan (cultural fest), which feature competitions in dance, music, drama, debate, quiz, coding, robotics, etc. Sports activities are also promoted at the college level, with specialised facilities for cricket, football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and athletics. Along with this, there are student clubs and societies that are active, namely the Robotics Club, Coding Club, Entrepreneurship Cell, NSS, and IEEE Student Branch, which offer opportunities for leadership, innovative thinking, and community service. These efforts allow students to develop their communication, teamwork, and organisational skills outside of academics.

The Training & Placement Cell (T&P Cell) regularly organises both summer and winter internships through collaborations with industries and organisations during academic breaks, so that students get practical exposure. Such internships normally appear in the guise of on-site industry traininganything from one to two months in durationby companies such as Adani Dahanu Power Station and even national R&D organisations like DRDO in Nashik, to which some students have been chosen. Based on student reviews, almost half to over 50% of students are given internship offers during different semesters, both on campus and through outside private and government organisations. Such a systematic approach not only consolidates learning in the classroom but also develops students' technical, ethical, and soft skills in preparation for their future profession.

Are internships provided to students?

SSGMCE offers internship opportunities to its students through their dynamic Training and Placement Cell. The Internships in SSGMCE are provided during the semester holidays. This will help the students in terms of practical exposure in industries, research institutions, and technical organisations. Students have interned at various companies such as Adani Power, DRDO, and other local companies, which increases their technical acumen and industry exposure.

Does the college help with off-campus placements?

SSGMCE, Shegaon, is actively involved in facilitating off-campus placements for the students. The Training and Placement (T&P) Cell of the college works along with the faculties and staff to arrange and conduct off-campus recruitment drives at other colleges. They help the students in procuring required permissions, transportation arrangements, and make sure that the students are eligible for these placements. The T&P Cell also acts as a link between the firms and the students to communicate off-campus job vacancies and guide them during the application process.

Are there core company placements for Mechanical and Electrical students?

SSGMCE, Shegaon, provides core company placement to its Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students. Colleges provides Training and Placement Cell organises recruitment drives with popular companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Power, Bosch, ABB, and Adani Power. These companies have provided design, manufacturing, maintenance, and power system jobs. These popular companies provide placement packages that have gone as high as INR 9 LPA, with an average of between INR 4 and INR 5 LPA. The college also gives pre-placement training in the form of aptitude tests, technical skill training, and soft skill improvement to get students ready for the same. Though placements may fluctuate on an annual basis depending on market conditions, SSGMCE has an excellent record of getting its students core engineering jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fee for one year is Rs.125000 for genral and management level admissions.There is the State Scholoship for the students accoding to the category for ex. for OBC there is 50% scholarship from goverment and for SC,ST students 98% scholarship is provied in the fees.

The year wise fees paid Rs 67,062 per year. I've got a government mahdbt scholarship & Lila poonawalla scholarship of Rs 50000 per year. For hostel fees I paid Rs 25000 per year + 10000 as a caution money. As of now I don't have exact value of tution fees, management fees etc

There are many scholarships according to the caste and criteria If you are not able to pay the remaining fees due to financial aid you have to take an education loan for tuition fees but for the hostel and mess from college, it's free as you must be eligible for the Earn and Learn scheme of college.

Internship opportunity

Fees are as per the guidelines of the government of Maharashtra and also if you are eligible for a scholarship you can apply for it I got an internship offer from DRDO and many of my seniors get placement in the company for three or more.

All About Sant Ganjanan Maharaj College of Engineering

One of the imp benefits of admitting to this college is you get a placement while you are in the final year of your college. If you come under the category then you will get a scholarship from govt. Which is around 50 percent off your tuition fees. And if you are economically backwards then college also take care of your hostel fees. You need not pay hostel fees.

Good College

For the year 2019-20 the annual fee for a general category student was nearly around Rs 1,13,000. Every year our college increases their fees by nearly Rs 10,000. Scholarships are provided to all the eligible students on the basis of caste.
