It is mandatory to be in hostel for the completion of the course as per the DG shipping guidelines. Hostel infrastructure is very good. For 1st and 2nd year they are allowed 2 persons in one room and for 3rd and 4th year students single rooms are given. Ambiance is good. The hostel is made to fill total student strength of the college.

No I didn't opt for hostel because my house is near by and I know rooms and food was really good and the only reason for that is they also provide food for marine hostelries for them the charge high fee and provide best food because of them engineering hostlers also get good food

We have compulsory hostel because. It's mandatory for marine college to stay at hostels hostel rooms are soo superb and maintain I belive. Our college provide India one of best hostel with TV and WiFi every student have single room. And undoubtedly our hostel mess is best food and best menu we used to have hostel fee and college fee we pay in combined.

I have never seen this type of infrastructure and such green environment cleanliness among premise and accommodation rooms, washrooms, etc everywhere you will find clean and green.
