Can I get my branch upgraded from EEE in MAIT with 80.08% in the first semester?

There is very little chance to get your branch upgraded to any department. Even if you manage to score more than 80% then also you will not be able to get a seat in your desired branch as they might show there is no vacancy in that branch. But there is very little chance you can get your branch upgraded if you have any good connections in GGSIPU. You can't get your branch upgraded for any other reasons even if you score more than 85% in your first semester exams. There is also much effect of money through which you can get your branch upgraded. A student in MAIT got upgraded to IT after getting a rank of 16k in CET 2017 after the spot round. And another got upgraded even after 79.2% in their first semester. Some students even after scoring more than 85% marks and having less than 6k rank in CET don't get upgraded to their desired branch because they neither have good connections nor have the extra money to pay for their upgradation. To get your branch upgraded from EEE you either need to have very good connections in GGSIPU or you need to lend some extra money to the college to upgrade your branch. Without which you won't have any chances to upgrade even if your score is more than 80% marks in the first semester.

How is the placement of EEE at MAIT?

The placement for Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MAIT is almost similar to that of other mediocre colleges in India. I have some friends at MAIT and here is some information that I gathered from them. m For students in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, quite a less number of core electrical or electronic companies visit the campus for placement. Most of the students in the EEE branch are placed in service-based IT companies only, as like most other private engineering colleges of the same tier. Accenture and Infosys are two mass recruiters in the institute for these circuital branches. There are some companies who recruit specific technical students from specific branches only like mechanical, civil, etc. They usually don’t allow students from EEE to sit for their recruitment drives. The faculty is MAIT is decent and helpful. So, if you are genuinely interested in the subject of electrical and electronics then you can opt for the degree. But, placements are not that satisfactory due to the lack of core company jobs in the EEE branch. Overall, the placement of EEE at MAIT is average.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fees is 186000 thoudands for first year. From second year it becomes 174000 for second third and fourth year (excluding hostel and mess fees) . Apart from this you have to pay 5000 rupees for availing books from library fees.

MAIT - The Goods and The Bads

Student Snaps:

I paid 96,000 in advance before reporting through IPU Councelling and then paid remaining 1,04,000 at the college which included everything, from tution fees, all sorts of membership. There are several scholarships available, just need to dig in a little. I don't think there's any concession over on the basis of your category.

My college My story

We paid 165k for the first year and then 145k per year for the other three year. Means approx 600k for the whole course. This is the only tuition fee. Many types of scholarship also provided by the university eg. e-district scholarship, EWS scholarship, etc. And this all are provided on the basis on merit. Fee that I mention above is for the my batch i.e 2022-26 batch. The senior batch's were less and junior batch has more fee compare to my batch. Means every year the fee will grow by 10 to 20 k. And for kashmir migrants a special type of scholarship or fee relief also provided by the college or university.

The fees structure is yearly so it's like: 1st year- 140000 rupees 2nd year- 115000 rupees 3rd year- 140000 rupees 4the year- 115000 rupees There's no scholarship system You can pay the fees via NEFT to the college name

One of the only merits of taking admission in ip University is it's economic fees as one doesn't have to spend much to study engineering in this university and can provide a good croud to be with in enhancing one's knowledge.

The tuition fee is standard for all the courses and fees hike is capped at 5% per year if there is any. Students can get scholarships by the Delhi government's schemes which have a standardised process of its own. I got placed on Campus with a package of 6.25 LPA.

There is no such policy. Scholarships are considered which are approved by the government, for the reservation classes and for the below poverty line people most of the fees is reimbersed. I got placed in collegedunia as an intern which is a paid internship.

College life of an average engineer

As per me i didnt recieve any scolarship from the college. There are not many opportunities for that. The lost of engineering is 6l for 4 years. the job assitance is not good but if you are hardworking enough you might get good opportunities. When you achieve some good price in some competetions then college is pretty generous with that.

My College

In my 2 years of college,there hasn't been a significant fees hike and maybe just around 5- 6 thousand extra.MAIT is a very affordable college, even affordable than most engineering colleges but it comes down to ROI(return of investment) and for that I will say the college is really good,the feel of college is there but main problem is the crowd.Mostly the crowd in here are the rich kids who could not take admission anywhere so just paid some money and got here.If u find some good people who are ambitious ,please stick with them and don't waste your college life just going with the flow ,try something new and don't try to compete with these so called rich kids cause in the end if u just improve yourself a little by getting some internships ,u will have all the attention.About the internships, college provides us with a industrial visit in 3rd year which is of no use according to me but if u want to do software,just start getting in competitions and getting some certificates for your cv
