Admissions are mostly on the basis of rank of the candidate in the concerned entrance tests, i.e., the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other entrance tests. Such provisions are made to maintain equity in the placement process while respecting students' desires for occupations closely related to their area of study or better-paying ones.
